How do you blow out a blockage in the fuel line?

I have replaced the fuel filter. I have also replaced the battery. Sprayed starter fluid in the carb and it does fire up but chokes out. We tested the fuel pressure and there is none. Car sat for two years, think i have old nasty fuel that needs to be drained, HOW do I blow it out and get it out? I just bought this car from a elderly man.

You are going to have to drop the tank and replace the fuel pump/module assy. Once removed you can blow out the lines and replace the filter.

The ethanol in the fuel may have deteriated the hose in the tank to the point that it has ruptured. I have seen a lot of that in years passed, they have since improved the technology in which the in-tank components can handle the ethanol..

1979 holiday rv chevy 454 no fuel to carb i replaced fuel pump filters fill carb with gas engin runs then no fuel to carb

if it has been sitting for a long time you may have to dis-connect the fuel lines at both the tank and the pump and blow air through to see if there is a blockage in the line. if that is clear then make sure all fuel hose's are in good condition and not collapsing from old age. if those are in good condition then there is a problem in the tank and it will have to be removed for inspection....

Car has gas but won't start. Sprayed starter

the most likely reason is a failed fuel pump, plugged fuel filter or defective fuel regulator-you need to have the fuel line pressure tested-you can get the use (free) of a guage set from most commercial auto parts stores.

Gas not getting to the carburator. Starter turns

Check all of the fuel lines very carefully for breaks or cracks in the fuel lines, especially between the fuel tank and the fuel pump.

If the fuel lines are all in good condition then you can safely assume that the problem is in the fuel pump and you will need to replace it. (If the fuel pump is in really bad shape the engine oil on the end of the engine oil dip-stick will smell like fuel)

Eager ****** wont start, sprayed engine starter fluid, but shuts off from lack of fuel?

first of all using starter fluid damages the cylinder head gasket. Take cap off of gas tank look for small clear line with filter on end - Is the filter submurged in fuel , or is it dirty and need replacement? make sure the filter in in the bottom of the tank. After all that, if it still does not work check all mounting fasteners and everything is tight and appears to have no leaks I would say its the carburetor diaphragm, less than 10 bucks and easily replaced.

I had a pass. side rear blow out fixed that

Have you checked the FUEL PUMP INERTIA SWITCH in the trunk? thats the last place power goes before it gets to the pump. Is the pump recieving power? if not the switch is either bad or needs to be reset.
