Not much info to go on. If it's an older car someone may have bypassed the heater coil because of a leak.The usual way is to connect one of the hoses to both connections at the engine

May need a new oil pressure switch,it's located next to oil filter,remove electrical connector then part.You may have to remove oil filter to remove part.

There's a blockage some were as when ur driving the rpm is high so pressure is pushing hot water through when idling very low pressure u need to use strong flushing .agent and flush out your system also revirse flush if still doing it after this it will b ur main rad needs re coring not heater

My heater blows out cool air when the car is not moving and warm air when it is moving. what would cause this?


is this a wind up. your car can not blow out warm air from the heater untill the eng is up to tem, it blows cold air when the eng is cold

under bonnet drivers side back of cylinder head is a electrical operated tap for the hot water going into the heater ,look here first ,then get back to me if you need anymore info as er indoors want the internet and iam being scorned to say the least sorry

Heater blows cold but tem gauges reads hot


When engine is hot is the top radiator hose hot also ?
If not install new 195 degree thermostat. Is the blower air hot now ?
If not the heat door may not be opening, or you could have a blown heat gasket.

it is common in cavaliers and malibus but i would check the radiator (maybe even flush it) it might help, and i would repace coolant with DEX-COOL.

if your car is hot it should blow out hot air see if tem p is ok make sure the dial for hot and cold is tuning
the valve for to let in the heat
