Question about Cars & Trucks
That is usually caused by misalignment of the transmission shift linkage if it's a floor shift you can take the council apart and adjust itby removing just the top plate you'll see 2 sets of shift linkage rod one is for the transmission the other controls ignition lock this is a security feature to prevent you from locking the ignition while the car is in gear moving

Wayneard is correct. with one hand on the ignition key try to turn the key towards start. With your other hand hold the steering wheel and turn slightly in either direction. This will take the locking pressure off the ignition cylinder. To prevent this from re-occuring be sure steering wheel is in a straight position before removing key from cylinder. Then be sure not to use steering wheel as a lifting point to get out of the car. If you do the wheel will move into a locked position, which is what you are experiencing now. Keep me posted

See a honda dealer or remove console to get to shifter solenoid. Also adjust cable to get key out of ign. We always would pull shifter back and push it foward firmly into park to get them to release key.

Testimonial: "You are right! I finally gave it a really good push and pull left and right and it worked. It's not fixed, but at least I can get to work! Thanks!"
could be something else like the cable that releases the park ?? if it appears ok then renew the ignition lock ,nice job this one because its in the middle
