There are no sleeves..On these there are 2 connectors. In the connectors there are O rings/seals. what hold the connectors to the fuel rail are clips. To date, I can replace the O rings(just match them up) The connectors and the clips, good luck... I had to replace the fuel lines, from the manufacturer to fix them. Some times from the auto store, but not much. Usually wrong parts.

I would check to be on the safe side the fuel filter is going in the right direction. The arrow is pointing towards the engine away from the fuel tank, Then you need to make sure the fuel pump wiring connections are good contact and did not come loose when driving.

SOURCE: white smoke and a smell of fuel

The white smoke is from anti freeze. The smell of gas in your oil is probably from the same cause. I do beleive you did not clean the milled ares good enough before installing one or both of your gaskets. Just in case you did loosen one of the head bolts up for any reason....One bolt I do beleive on the right front bank of this engine has to be also sealed before re enstalling it for coolant will pass through it if not sealed

SOURCE: fuel leak under turbo on 1997 ford 7.3

Is the fuel in the valley right under the fuel pump? If so, your fuel pump might have failed and is leaking out of the weep hole.

Other places to look would be the fuel filter seal and a bad o-ring in the fuel drain relief valve.

Good luck

1999 Chevy blazer. Changed fuel pump, wont stay running.engine revs up and down, if I try to push in the gas pedal to see if it will clear up, it bogsdown and dies. Could this be the fuel pressure...

Yes sounds like a regulator issue. On the 99 blazer the regulator is under the plastic intake plenum and is a part of the fuel injection spider. I would also check for vacuum leaks and your idle air solenoid.

I have a 2001 chevy blazer that is missing i have already replaced the distributor ,cap and rotor button and the plugs and wires what else do i need to check

make sure spark plugs gaps correct for the 4.2 engine gap need to be 0.050 for the 4.3 engine gap need to be 0.060. replace fuel filter and clean fuel injectors. missing problem also caused by weak ignition coil.vacuum leaks around intake manifold look for leaking hoses.if all is good do a compression test engine could have burn out valves.

1999 Chevy Blazer loosing power going up hills and bucking. Fuel filters were changed, cat replaced ( are there 2 or 1 on this model) sensors changed. Need the car to run

have you checked sensor connections around intake. check for any broken or cracked vacuum lines. check for vacuum leaks around plastic portion on intake, {i'm assuming you have the 4.3L vortec engine} if all this is good then have fuel pump pressure tested.

The Vortec engines were notorious for those kind of problems. The problem will be under the upper-intake manifold, and the fuel injector assembly will either have a cracked plastic fuel line running out to one or more of the fuel injectors, or the fuel pressure regulator that is located on the end of the fuel injector assembly is faulty or it has detached from the fuel injector assembly. Either way the lower intake manifold will be flooded with fuel anytime that the fuel pump runs.

There were two types made, the first type had fuel lines that connected to the lower intake manifold, and then from the metal fittings the fuel line turns into plastic and runs inside the lower intake manifold and under the upper-intake manifold where it runs over to the fuel injector assembly, and this type can really flood out an engine when it becomes faulty.

The second type had metal fuel lines running over the upper intake manifold and they connected to the top of the fuel injector assembly, however, under the upper-intake manifold there are still plastic lines to the fuel injectors and also the fuel pressure regulator that could be faulty and cause the engine to severely flood.

The upper-intake manifold is not that difficult to remove, and after you remove the upper-intake manifold then (replace the fuel lines to the fuel injector assembly if it is the second type) turn the ignition to the "Run" position and when the fuel pump runs you should see where the fuel is leaking/spraying from, and it will most likely be a large high pressure leak from a ruptured plastic fuel line.

Let me know if you require any further assistance.

Have a 95 chevy blazer idles rough after warms up. gives black smoke

Sounds like you have a fuel leak inside the intake. Remove the upper intake manifold. Cycle the key on and off and check for leaks from the fuel lines and pressure regulator.

Where is 2005 subaru baja fuel filter?

Hello, your vehicle may not be equipped with a serviceable fuel filter, Subaru started to use lifetime in-tank fuel filters in 2004. But, there is an easy way to check, start by opening your hood and walking over the drivers' side front fender. I don't know how much you know about cars so it's easier for me to treat all problems as if the owner knows nothing, If this is not true for you please forgive me. If you look at the engine the first item you will most likely notice is the intake manifold which looks like a grey/silver aluminum 4 legged spider like thing. If you look at the side closest to you, there will be 3 metal tubes/lines coming up from in between the 2 legs of the intake. They will turn 90 degrees towards you and connect into three rubber lines that curve around and point towards the drivers' seat. The fuel filter will be there receiving the upper most line while the other 2 bypass it. It will be almost the size of a can of soup and will be either silver or black. If you don't have one there will be blue sleeves on the the line that goes to a small, almost flying saucer looking fuel pressure regulator which is black. I hope this info helps...(subyguru)...

A common problem is the fuel injector leaking fuel into the lower intake and also the plastic fuel lines will crack inside the intake.Remove the upper intake plenum and have a assistant turn the ignition to the run position.Check for any fuel leaks,if its just a fuel line that has burst you can purchase a fuel line kit from napa. They also sell the fuel injector assembly also.
