Check the fluid level with the engine running in park. To add fluid it goes down the dip stick pipe.

How do you drain the radiator on a 97 Accord SE? I've looked at it from under the car and can't seem to find a drain plug?

IF there is plug there it will probably be flush with the bottom of the tank and have a large cross cut into it, It may be above the tin splash plate that covers under the radiator to sump. Otherwise undo the hose clamp at the bottom of the radiator and gently remove the hose. It will be messy so do it in an area you can clean up after.

could be poor connection from battery to battery cable terminal. take off both pos. & neg. battery terminals, clean & reinstall, making sure there is a tight connection. if the cables are loose (even just one) or if the battery cable seems degraded with corrosion, they should be replaced. could also do a load-test on the battery... it should stay strong under load, and shouldn't drop to below 11 volts under load. if it does you have a bad battery, even though it may seem good otherwise.

What is wrong with my 1999 honda accord ex if it's uses too many rpm to shift gears?

If it is an automatic, it is most likely slipping & has been for
some time, months possibly & you didn't not notice it

90% of the time, you will have to have the transaxle rebuilt
That will cost close to $2000.00

Upgrading stock 97 accord

If your "stock" 97 Accord is a base model then it has 14" tires & wheels. If your idea of fun is zoom-zoom around turns & quick lane changes on the highway then switching to a 16" low profile tire & wheel combo will make you smile a little more. 205/55R16 is a good popular conversion. Your budget will be dented about $800-$1200 If your idea of fun is stomp the gas & go then talk to an engine guru
