The motor. Gears in it making the noise. Switches don't have gears, they are electrical.

Change both rotor last month 2006 f150 started making noise thinking about changing lower balljoints.

Well depending on the noise. If it makes a squeel, chatter, or grind thats the brakes. If it makes a nasty THUNK if you stop or accel hard or sometimes while your turning then I would say the ball joints. Changing them on a f150 is a pretty easy task either way.

Wiper on 2003 ford explorer. when turned on a noise comes from under dash and wipers dont work. they will work if I turn on switch and move the wipers, they will cycle once.

it sounds like the problem is the wiper motor if they work when you move them by hand.the motor probably has a bad spot in it,first try hooking up a jumper wire from the battery ground and the other end to the wiper motor body and make sure its a good ground at the motor.if the wipers work alright then permanently hook up a ground to the motor and body,as the motor will have a bad ground not allowing the wipers to work.

1983 ford f150 wipers wont work but it sounds like its trying to

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Since it appears to be working, it is probably making a humming noise. Being so, your motor may be stripped and still need changed. If the motor is fine, it could be your actual wiper switch that needs changed. If you are not hearing anything, then you need to check your fuse. Thank you for using FixYa.

1992 ford f150 wipers wont turn off and i replaced motor and wiper switch but they still continue to run

Does your motor have a circuit board that bolts onto it. Did you replace it or just the motor?

Turn signal handle broke off and is hanging by wires

You can buy the turn signal switch at Napa or other auto parts stores. It's a combination switch. Remove the steering wheel and remove the 2 screws that hold the turn signal switch on, unplug the wires and installation is reverse of removal.

My 1997 Ford F150 dies whenever i turn on wipers

sounds like a new problem, I would try unpluging the windshield wiper motor under the hood turn on the switch inside the truck and see if it still dies, if it doesn't suspect a short inside the wiper motor itself (replace wiper motor).

My wipers just quit in my 2002 f150 truck

You may have to check for power at the wiper motor if there is power there then more than likely its the wiper motor.
