My jetta tdi 2000 rear window defroster does not work looking for relay #18/100

Looking for a relay no voltage at rear window the relay is in slot # 2 with the # 18/100 it is called load reduction relay

Im not really sure if this will help but check the wires that connect to the window itself and make sure they have not come loose or fallen off your type of car has this feature...

Sounds more like it would be the wiper motor. If it was the relay they wouldnt move at all.

Rear defroster doesn't work.


rear defrosters are an apllied film of semi metalic strips and if you get you windows tinted often the tint man accidentally nicks these strips cuasing the defroster to malfuction check for breaks in the srips

THE AIR CONDITIONING IN MY 2000 JETTA VR6 JUST STOPPED WORKING, NO WARNING. I HAD TWO DIFFERANT MECHANICS LOOK AT IT. Ac compressor in 2000 vw jetta wont kick on


the first thing that i would check would be to see if there is votage going to the clutch. if there is not then check the pressure switch, relay, and fuse. if there is voltage to the clutch then replace the clutch and that SHOULD solve your problem.

no it should not it controls your air/fuel mixture and your timing put your heater control on defrost air to high does ac start
