Top of engine, rear of intake manifold. You probably can't see it, have to feel back there.

I need to know where is the oil sending unit at on my 2008 Chevy impala

On Chevrolet Motors, it depends on which engine you have and that will vary the location... Start by looking close to the Oil Filter. On the 5.7 Liter engines, it is on the Back side of the Engine, On some of the smaller, it si located below the Exhaust.

Where due i find a oil pressure sending unit

Sorry sandrahansha,
Your question is unclear. Are you looking for the oil pressure sending unit on your vehicle? Or are you trying to find a place to purchase an oil pressure sending unit?

If you want to know where it is located on your vehicle, you need to provide information about your vehicle including YEAR, MAKE, MODEL and ENGINE SIZE. Otherwise, there is no way anyone can answer this question for you.
If you are looking to purchase one, the answer is that they are available at any auto parts retailer.

Oil pressure gauge goes up to 80 pounds

80 lbs is good. It's more like around 50, it's probably the oil sending unit. Take a look at it aand make sure it in't leaking. If there is any oil covering it and none coming from above it is leaking. I don't know engine size, but they are usually located around the oil filter.

I AM TRYING TO REPLACE A SEAL ABOVE THE OIL FILTER AND NEED A SPECIAL KIND OF WRENCH, DO YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF WRENCH IT IS. A BUDDY THINKS IT IS A HEX BOLT

You might be looking at the oil pressure sending unit in this location...in that case, an oil pressure sending unit socket is what you need...many mechanics still use channel locks to remove/replace this unit...Hope this helps.

Oil pressure gage allways says high

You more than likely have a bad oil sending unit. The best way to find out is to remove the unit and check the oil press.with a pressure gauge but if you don`t have one then you can just replace it.Not knowing what engine you have the 3.1 or the 3.8 the sending unit is located by the oil filter or oil filter adapter.Hope this helps.Good luck.
