Started not shifting out of park only occasionally at first.then continually got worse. Now i can't get it out of park at all. once out of park shifts normally to other gear

You did not put vehicle y m m but normally all newer cars have a shift interlock solenoid that wont let you shift out of park unless you apply the brakes sounds like interlock solenoid failed. Its down low under the shifter and difficult to get to.

96 chevy s10 stuck in park

Sounds like a bent linkage or needs adjustmentent.
I think there is a rod that goes from the shifter to the transmission and this will have a set-screw which allows you to set the travel distance. Sounds liike it's bent or moved. If i'ts a cable then the cable is frayed [probably near the shift stick.

When should my radiator fan turn on ?

Once the engine is up to its normal operating temperature, the fan can and should come on at intermittent times. If you've driven the car any distance and are about to park, the fans normally will be on since you've slowed down and the engine begins to heat up just a bit more.

I have to press SHIFT LOCK button to get lever out of PARK.(with engine on.) 2006 Toyota Hilux Dual cab 4WD auto

You have to place your foot on the brake before the lever can be released out of the park position . If this does n't work have a look and see if the brake lights are working when depressing the brake pedal . If the brake lights don't function , replace the brake light operating switch which is located just behind the brake pedal .

Tip : note the distance the old switch is adjusted in relation to the brake pedal before you remove it and adjust the new one to the same distance .

This is the most common cause of the problem you have described .

Automatic park

In order to do a parallel park, you would have to position the LS next to a parked car. Then, put the LS in reverse and turn on the Park Guidance System. Set it to parallel park (the LS also can do a 90 degree park) and let go of the wheel. The LS uses a series of sensors that measure the distance between you and the parked car, and how far away you are from the parking stall. The sensors then send that information to a computer that will calculate that information and will control the steering wheel. The only driver input required is the use of the brake pedal to control the speed and stop the car. In my personal opinion, this is a safer way to park because human error is greater than computer error.
