Get a scan tool & look for "crank rpm". Meanwhile listen (after the 2 sec. prime pulse) for fuel pump operation "While you are Cranking." If you definately do not have fuel pump or spark "while you are cranking" it is a CKP sensor issue. These Vortex systems are extremely dependant on the fuel press. during cold start. Has to be well 60 psi.

Did you visually check for spark at the spark plugs, engine cranking? Does the dist rotor turn when you crank it? Did you use a gage and check correct fuel pressure? Any applicable trouble codes? To check codes, yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader.

If you have the spider fuel system, that system is noted for problems. No, the fuel system shouldn't cause a no spark. If no rpm signal, that will usually stop the injector pulse along with other issues.

Are you sure it is getting spark to the plugs? Did you check fuel pressure? It still may be getting some fuel but not enough. Is it fuel injected or car berated?

Problem starting engine

Try cranking it at night in the dark and see if you see spark jumping around the spark plug wires or distributor cap..If you do..Replace them..
Remove distributor cap and check contacts on cap and rotor..
Partially remove coil wire and have someone crank engine and look for spark at wire end.
Pretty sure your car has points in distributor ,be sure they're clean or replace them..
Use Google for locations.

Cutlass wont start

Make sure the cap/coil has a 12v input from yhe battery, it needs this 12v to create the 40,000 volts for spark.

Chevy tahoe wont start its as if its not getting gas

If you think it is not getting gas, then it may not be. You would need to verify this by installing a fuel pressure gauge. This truck MUST have at least 55 PSI. Even a few LBS less, the truck will not start.
If you do not have pressure, or it is low, a plugged fuel filter or faulty fuel pump would be the most likely problem. If no pressure at all, a quick test to check the fuel pump is to have someone in the truck trying to start it, and you go under and bang on the gas tank with a hammer. Many times this will free up a sticking pump. But, it will fail again.

Wont start or stay on

From the info you provided, it seems like it is not getting constant supply of fuel. I think that don't have a carburator. It has a TBI(Throttle Body Injector. You should hear a faint humming noise at the back coming from within the fuel tank when you turn the key on. Thats the fuel pump. Your fuel pump may have gone out.

1966 mustang engine cranks but wont start

Guide to starting a dead horse!
1- Spray a little starter fluid down the carbuerator. If it tries to fire, your timing and ignition is probably OK. This could indicate a carb or fuel pump problem.
2- If it doesn't fire, check out the points, condenser, coil, distributor cap and rotor. Look for condensation inside the cap. Check that the high tension wire from the coil to distributor is in good shape and not touching the engine or any brackets, etc.
3- Verify that your timing is correct. You may have a timing train problem (Worn or broken).
4- The distributor may have come loose and changed positions. Check for proper timing.
5- It may be a compression problem. If it has set long enough for the oil that coats the cylinder walls to drain down, you won't have enough compression to allow firing. Check your compression and if this seems to be the case, remove the spark plugs and squirt a little Marvel Mystery oil, or similar light weight oil into each cylinder. When it starts, it will smoke for a few minutes, but that will go away.
Hope this helps and if not, get back to me.
Have a super day!
Ron
