Should be on drivers side under hood in fuse box. Most likely a 30 Amp fuse.

Where is the fuse on 01 Cadillac deville for the ecm located

check the manual - if you don't have one see here:
http://www.vadengmpp.com/owners-manual/cadillac/2001-Cadillac-Deville.pdf

Instructions for ECM-reset:
1 Loosen the bolt on the black battery cable until the connector opens enough to come off the battery stud. Place a piece of cardboard between the cable and the stud to ensure no electrical connection remains.
  • 2 Turn the headlights on for several seconds to use up any stored power, then return them to the "off" position.
  • 3 Remove the cardboard and reconnect the battery cable by reversing the previous steps. The ECM has been reset to a clean state.

I have a 01 deville that wont crank. Makes a clicking sound when key is turned over. So I bought a new starter and hd it installed... Still no crank. Had fuses and relays checked and still nothing, also...

Your BATTERY is bad, it may have the Voltage but not the AMPERAGE to turn over the car. It can also be Corrosion on the Battery Posts. I would start by cleaning the battery FIRST...

Went to star truck and nothing turns on, no power no lights and no sound.

{: ) You didn't mention the model of your truck. But anyway, it is very apparent that you have a main power issue. Always start by checking the battery charge, make sure cable terminals are properly tightened, and check also the main fusible links and fuses.

Where is ecu fuse in 01 cadillac deville

I see 2 fuses for the computer (powertrain comtrol module, PCM). They are located in the fuse panel under the hood of the vehicle in the engine compartment (see picture below). Also below is a diagram of the fuse layout by number. The fuses I am talking about is one in the number 8 position (says PCM battery) and the other is in the number 19 position (says PCM ignition). This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy of it, you can email me at csautomotivecars@att.net with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. No worries, no cost for it. I hope this helps and good luck.

I have an 01 cadillac deville with a 4.6 liter engine,my battery light is on but my dash reads 12.4 volts. i hear a clicking sound coming from the rear fuse panel. the car wont start

when a car is running the alternator should put out around 14 volts. the clicking sound is probably a relay. I would check all the fuses relays and the alternator.

Check the battery connections for corrosion, if ok check the connections at the starter.
