First thing to check will be the horn operation. Older horns rust up in the operating mechanism in the horn. Get a replacement horn and put it in place nd see if that is the problem Check for power to the horn as the fuse or relay may be out.

Sounds like you have a bad door lock actuator or one of the lock rods has come loose and is in a bind. Can you hear any noise from the door lock actuator in that door when you operate the power door locks? If not, you probably need to replace the actuator. The hardest part will be getting the door panel off without damage. Once the door panel is off, it should be fairly easy to replace the lock actuator even if it comes with the entire latch assembly.

Recheck the settings. I believe you can do this threw the radio. I have seen to many computers that just loose their programming. PCM's wipe clean. Can't say why. Just did. Had them programmed and all was good.

How do you manually lock or unlock the drivers door with the key on a dodge caliber 2007

This is a problem when people use the FOBs all the time. The key lock corrodes and won't turn. Spray some lube in it and work it back and forth. If and when it starts to move, use more lube. It has to be cleaned out. If it doesn't move, you'll have to replace it. DO NOT use so much pressure to turn it and it bends the key.

How do I get my alarm system to chirp instead of beep when it goes off or when I lock my doors with the remote entry key fob?

Check to see if your vehicle honks when you press the "lock" button on your key fob. Press the "lock" button multiple times in a row. Many devices won't beep unless you double-tap the button after locking. If the horn doesn't honk, but the lights flash, your chirp feature is probably disabled.

Use your keyless fob and ignition key to enable the audible chirp. The process varies considerably on different makes and models. You must usually consult your owner's manual, a dealership or the alarm manufacturer for the correct process.

Crimestopper SP501 car alarm/remote starter will not respond. The 2 way one doesn't work, the sidekick does.

You need to program your crimestopper sp-501 key fobs, you need to program both the 2-way and the 1-way key fobs, during the same key fob program session. First find your valet button/switch, when you have found it, turn your ignition on and press the valet button four times, if you have a toggle type switch for a valet switch, toggle it up and down four times, when its in remote key fob program mode, it will honk your horn 4-times followed by 4-parking light flashes. Once your have done this press the lock button on the 2-way key fob, horn will honk and the 2-way will sing a little song to confirm programed, then press the lock button on the 1-way key fob the horn honk will be your confirm programed. turn ignition off this will exit you from program mode. then shut all doors and test key fobs for operation functions....hope this helps you out

My horn doesn't chirp when I lock the doors.

My chevy doesn't chirp on the first press of the lock button, it just locks. If you press it again, then it chirps. To be honest, I like the fact that it doesn't chirp first - that just draws attention to the fact that you left your vehicle.

How to reset a anti theif system on a 2004 explorer

This is the procedure that I know of using you the keypad on your drivers door:
1. Close and lock all doors, windows and tailgate
2. Enter your 5 digit entry code
3. Press hold hold the 7-8 key. While holding the 7-8 key press the 3-4 key
4. Release the 3-4 key
5. Release the 7-8 key
You should hear a horn"chirp" to let you know the system has been disabled or a "chirp" followed by a "honk" to let you know the system has been enabled.
I hope this is the information you were looking for and that it helped. There is a way to use your remote key fob and if you need that procedure post a comment on here and I should recieve an email letting me know, I think I remember that one as well....Good luck.
