You only have to go to the nearest place to have the fault codes read. converters cab break up and block the exhaust but this is after high rpms and constant high speed driving and exhaust mufflers very seldom block up. The restricted rpms indicate that the engine /transmission is in protected mode and that will be revealed by the fault codes obtained from the reading.

Ok just wondering a friend told me it sound like I get back pressure because when u take it up to them rpms there's popping noise he said that's back pressure? But leave an hour an half away from the nearest AutoZone. I had to put it on a flat bed to get it home.

the noise that you state is more like misfiring and not back pressure as back pressure noise is more like air pressure escaping. A popping noise is combustion or no combustion at the wrong time. as I suggested take it to have the codes read first and that will eliminate guesswork.

Not the converters. But check them to see if there is nothing in them. I've seen the converters blow apart and clog the muffler. Have the codes read.

Ignition modules have two sections -- one for low rpms, one for high. Could also be clogged air filter, converter, muffler, low fuel pressure, speed sensor.

Do a compression check on the cylinders. You could have bad piston rings. Also have the catalytic convert check. it could be clogged.

the catalytic converter is an exhaust component and while it is possible that its clogged its unlikely. If it is clogged your check engine light should come on.

1.) you more than likely will not be able to replace your catalytic converter yourself, more often than not they are welded in place before your muffler

2.) check fuel filter it is more likely to be the problem

jason, im gonna bet the farm that you have a clogged catalytic converter, if you can get the vehicle to your nearest muffler shop most of them will test the converter for free. they simply drill a small hole in the exhaust pipe in front of and behind the converter and compare the pressure to see if its clogged, call ahead to see if they will test it for free, most will, hope this helps

it seems like its time for you to replace the catalytic converters. im guessing your check engine lite is on as well? but wut is happening is that the converters are clogged and as a result overheating and seriously restricting the amount of exhaust passing through them. your cars sensors are picking this up and as a result. limited power and speed. when you shut off your car for the 10 min, youre just letting the cats cool down and tricking the sensors into thinking the car is fixxed

bank 1 refers to the side of the engine that #1 cylinder is on , and sensor 2 refers to downstream , after the catalytic converter. , this link shows bank 1 on a 2001 nissan maxima V6 being on the firewall side . if you had a 4 cylinder it would be downstream after the catalytic converter .
