It depends on how many coils are bad. pep boys auto parts lists them @ $301.99 each, for your vehicle, there will be a bit of a markup on the cost of the part, that is normal.
then there is the labor, job should take between 1/2 to 1 1/2 hours x labor per hour.
when I had mine replaced only the ones that needed to be replaced were done.
I took this from another site:
An ignition coil is a compact electrical transformer that boosts the 12-volt current from the battery into the high voltage (15,000-20,000 volts or more) needed to start a car. Typically there is one ignition coil for each spark plug, either sitting on top of each spark plug (eliminating the need for spark plug wires) or physically connected together as a coil pack that is installed and replaced as a single unit. Symptoms of a bad coil pack include misfires, poor fuel consumption or loss of power -- although these can be caused by other factors. Typical costs:

  • An ignition coil typically costs $70-$375 or more depending on the make and model of vehicle, if it is a single coil or a coil pack, and whether the part is made by the vehicle manufacturer (called OEM parts, and typically more expensive) or an aftermarket product from a company other than the vehicle manufacturer.
  • For example, AutoZone[1] offers an aftermarket ignition coil for a 2008 Ford Focus for $103; FordParts.com[2] offers ignition coils for the same vehicle for $72-$159. Replacing an ignition coil can be a relatively straightforward do-it-yourself project. AutoMD provides how-to instructions[3] , and estimates it as a moderately complex project that takes about an hour.
  • Professional installation typically takes 0.5-1.5 hours, depending on the vehicle, at $50-$120 an hour (depending on whether the work is done at an independent or chain repair shop, or at a dealership, which is typically more expensive). This brings total costs to $100-$550 or more.
  • For example, RepairPal.com[4] estimates replacing a single ignition coil on a 2008 Ford Focus costs about $37-$49 for labor and $123-$144 for parts, making a total cost of about $160-$193; for a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 truck the estimate is about $102-$135 for labor and $74-$120 parts, or $176-$255 total; for a 2008 Toyota Camry it's $74-$98 labor and $102-$210 parts, with a total of $176-$308.

Have you checked your camshaft sensor? It's possible that the vane on the Synchronizer is misaligned.

is it the 5.4 engine? does it have the check engine light on? i had a 2001 that would do this and it turned out to be one of the coil packs went bad. they are easy to change out and cost around 65.00 at the auto parts store. if it has check engine light on it will tell you exactly which cylinder is missing.not sure if this is it with your truck but it is a good place to start

It skips alot what cause that

If by 'skip' you mean it misses, it is almost always an engine electrical problem, specifically the secondary ignition system (coils, plug wires)-do you have a check engine light? If you have coil packs (one coil feeds 4 plugs), they can and do go bad. You don't say what engine you have, but if you have plug wires and they have never been replaced, it is a good place to start-do the plugs while you are at it. If you have coil-on-plugs, you may have oil in the plug wells, a very common issue with fords and it requires removing the valve cover and installing new gaskets, and possibly replacing shorted coils. Again, the check engine light will allow you to pinpoint which plug is 'missing', so if you don't have one yet, you should soon see it. there is also the possibility that a fuel injector is not opening-

you have a wet coil pack possibly. use hair dryer to dry the engine coil pack. if you're not familiar with coil packs, they replaced the old type distributors. water has built up in coil pack or you've blown off a spark plug wire from coil pack while pressure washing engine.

My truck is missing on the forth and fifth

things that can cause it to miss.
fouled plug (checked)
bad wires(checked)
coil pack(checked)
ignition signal to coil pack( switch old coil pack to a working cylinder to make sure its good and you may find a possible short in the wiring to the coil pack) alternately check the voltage to the wires going to the coils make sure like colors have like voltages. im not too big into ford trucks but thats a good start for most vehicles
possibly injector stuck open and flooding cylinders
timing could be off

havent a clue here ,one cylinder now another missing ,only one thing comes to mind here and thats the coil pack ,check the voltage across the battery with engine running at 1500rpm and if its higher than 15.5 volts of their abouts then the alternator regulator is playing up and this would cause problems with the coil pack or the ECU ,also the radio could blow and lots of bulbs.Other that this i would need to get my greasy hands on it and give the magic hammer treatment
