The following information is the torque specification and sequence for a 2000 Ford Taurus, equipped with a 3.0L OHV V6:
INTAKE MANIFOLD SIDE
(6) (4) (2) (8)
(5) (1) (3) (7)

EXHAUST MANIFOLD SIDE
Start with 1 then 2 and so on.
. Tighten the bolts to 47 ft. lbs
Then back all the off 1 full turn. then in the same order re-tighten to 38Ft lbs. Reason it to get the head gasket to seal and then to even the tension on the head to even out.

Torque specs on headbolts 95 taurus 3.8 litre and sequence

cast iron heads ,about 85lbs alloy heads 70lbs ,sequence start in middle and then one bolt to left and then one bolt to right ,just keep going left to right tightening them and you cannot go wrong ,pull down with a rachet first then a nice snap on bar ,i never use a torque wrench i feel the stretch on the bolts ,but thats me so use a torque wrench

I nee the head bolt torque specs for a 95 sable

    • Tighten retaining bolts in sequence to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.).
    • Then back off bolts 360°.
CAUTION: Always use new cylinder head bolts when installing cylinder head or damage to engine may occur.
  1. Tighten the cylinder head retaining bolts in two final tightening steps in sequence shown in the following illustration:
    • 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.)
    • 92 Nm (68 ft. lbs.)
