Year make and model? Did you check for spark? did you replace the fuel filter? With spark, you still have two possibilities. The ignition module and the ECM (computer). With fuel, the filter will usually let the car start, But if it is clogged or collapsed it could be restricting flow. Not usually though. They usually have pressure, just no volume. This would cut out at higher speeds or could run bad.

does it crank over and not fire if so check for spark if tou have spark check the fuel rail for a tire valve looking device if cap is still on remove and press shrader valve while someone cranks engine if you have no fuel spraying out of this in great volume check fuses for fuel pump try swaping fuel pump relay with horn relay if these things do not work look under or just above carpet line on passengerside floorboard in center area near heater box for the inertia switch if red button can not be pushed unplug and jump plug with small wire and crank over if it starts this is your problem if you do not hear fuel pump at this point fuel pump is bad

1998 ford ranger no fuel no spark

1998 ford fanger with no fuel and no spark, a good thing to do would be to have the codes checked, maybe the computer picked up the problem and stored a code, the code would tell you what is failing, but a scan tool would be needed, if you do not have a scan tool then i would start with the coil and then the crank sensor, the most common cause with a problem like this would be the crank sensor, hope this helps.

Engine cranks but wont start

Usually if no rpm signal, the vehicle won't start. Engine cranking, did you check for spark at the spark plugs? The fuel pressure you listed may have been the initial prime. It sounds like no injector pulse. The rpm signal comes from crank sensor. If your missing rpm signal, may thought is the crank sensor.
Were there any applicable trouble codes?

1994 ranger 2.3L 5spd, w a/c. replaced fuel

Only way to check the timing belt is to remove cover, When was last time belt was replaced, timing belt should be replaced every 50,000 miles, shound like that would be next thing to check

I have an 1999 ford rsnger that wont start

DOES IT HAVE POWER/ A GOOD BATTERY? IF SO CHECK & SEE IF IT IS GETTING FIRE OUT FROM THE COIL PACKS,THE QUICKEST WAY TO SEE IF IT IS FIRE OR A FUEL PROBLEM IS SPRAY A LITTLE STARTING FLUID IN THE THROTTLE BODY,& IF IT CRANKS & THEN CUTS RIGHT BACK OFF ITS A FUEL PROBLEM,FUEL PUMP FUSE,FUEL PUMP RELAY,OR FUEL PUMP,& OR FUEL FILTER, IF ITS NOT GETTING FIRE IT COULD BE A CRANK SENSOR, A CAM POSITION SENSOR,COIL PACK(S) OR A FUSE OR RELAY.

2001 ranger wont start after sitting

check the fuel pump and see is working properly, if the pump is good than the problems will be the crank sensor is faulty. what crank sensor does it sense the turning of the flywheel and it send a single to ecu, and ecu send a flow of power to turn on the fuel pump as long it sense the flywheel turning.

98 FORD RANGER

when this happens check for spark at the plug,
and have someone crank it over for you and check for fuel pressure at the bleeder valve is there fuel but just trickles out check with pressure gauge.
next check crank sensor if you have a dis system.
if all else fails check the ECM or the ignition module
hope this helps
