Try disconnecting the Battery for 10 minutes or take it to an Autozone, Oreilys, Advance autoparts for a free computer wipe.

Okay, now for the bad news. If the gas cap solution does not work, you have an opening in the Emissions system somewhere.

There is a machine and process called a "smoke test". The special machine hooks up to your gas cap opening and forces a type of tracer smoke into the system. The leak will let the smoke out.

You could have a hole in the gas tank, or Emission lines. Many times an Emission hose will get caught when the vehicle is put on a service lift. If your problem happened after the vehicle had new tires put on it, or any type or work requiring the car to be raised off the floor, the hoist could have nicked a low hanging line.

I have a 2008 Mazda CX7 the light on the dash is on saying that my tire is low. I checked each tire the lowest is 23 the rest are about 29. What is the accurate tire pressure?

set all the tire pressures at 32-35 and drive the car as it may take a little time for the system to reset itself.there should be a decal on the drivers door that has the tire pressure on it.

2008 warning lights on dash says clow tire pressure..Put in air in it..How do I get this cleared from my dash??

You may have to drive it a few miles and if it doesnt go off you might try to unplug the battery for a few couple of min. and that should reset all systems.

Where is the tire sensor reset button on a 2008 Toyota Avalon

Firestone Hmmmmmm. Well the reset button is located just under the dash to the left of the steering column, hold for a few seconds and the light should go out. Hopefuly the firestone tech won't tell you your brakes need greasing the next time you go in for service, haha. Oh, I do beleive your tire pressure should be 29 psi. But, you can check your owners manual for correct pressures. It sould also tell you where the reset button is also. That should FixYa good luck.

I am getting a tighten gas cap message, however cap is on and tight. Check engine light is on

The gas cap is most likely faulty. The gas cap is an integral part of the evaporative emission system. If it is not sealing or venting properly, it can affect the proper operation of this system. I would replace the gas cap and have the check engine light reset at an autoparts store. Most stores will scan/reset computer for free. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Engine and tire light stuck on

The easiest and cheapest thing to do is disconnect the battery for at least 60 seconds. This will reset the computer and should reset the lights.(NO this dosn't harm anything except you will have to reset your radio stations) Most of the time it can take a day or so for the lights to go out once the battery has been disconnected.

Engine light stays o n my 2006 impala

you may have to reset the engine light. These cars are all computerized. Call the dealership and tell them that you had to replace the gas cap as it was faulty and caused your check engine light to come on. Ask them if they can reset the "computer" or if they can tell you how to do it (if that is possible).

Don't know if that will work, but my dad has been in the car business for over 35 years - I tend to listen to most the things he says......
