Question about 2001 Kia Rio
I know it is in the main fuse box by the battery on the end and has 2 nuts holding it down and I can't seem to get all of the original fuse out. Does it all have to come out? Without the fuse when I connect the battery back now the fan comes on direct and no fuel pump and all dash light s are on without the key in start position.
It sounds like you need to get one of your buddies with a bit more experience to help you. If you cannot get the old one out where will you put the new?

Start with the simple and replace the fuel filter. The fuel filter should be replaced every 15,000 miles or once a year to ensure the fuel system is running 100%. Auto Zone will have the fuel filter and can give you the step by step instructions to getting the job done with common tools. If it's the fuel pump failure, you have not gotten the car restarted. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to know you got your car running 100% again soon and please rate.

p0560 is system voltage problem. open or short between the battery positive and the ecm.CHECK ALL FUSES. dosnt matter what they are labeled under dash and under hood replace any that are bad and retry to start. no start then check voltage to ecm grounds to. i dont have a wireing diagram to give you but for a small fee or free the dealer can make you a copy.make sure all the wires that go to battery terminals are not corroded and are making good contact [verified with volt meter]. if after all checks ok then replace ecm. as a side note i havent had to change one ever.
