Have you tried doing a manual regen ? This is done by starting your vehicle, bringing your RPM to about 2500 and letting it run for about 20 minutes. If this does not work, might want to take your vehicle on a long drive in a lower gear and watching the temperature to reach slightly over normal operating temps. (190-210).

How to check to see if the crank shaft is bad


if crankshaft is bad, run an oil pressure test first. at least 10 psi per 1000 rpm. if oil pressure is good, something else is wrong. there is also a crankshaft sensor.

All you did was replace spark plugs which should be
done every 3 years

Oxygen Sensors get replaced at 100,000 miles which you
also did

You most likely have an intake gasket leak,smoke test
the entire Evap System & Engine

You also are have bad igniton coils

I have noticed a clunk type noise/feel in the rear end after taking off from a stop. Tonight a really bad grinding/clunking sound both in drive and reverse, ion gear or neutral. I've been reading...


if the diff is not leaking oil there should be no reason to be low. If you hear a noise in neutral with the truck not moving, its not in the rear end. it may be the trans or transfer case.

Need to find and replace the DPFE-15 sensor. Dealership diagnosed when service engine light came on and saaid this is what needed replacing. Problem is I do not know where to find it on the engine.


Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) System The exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system is designed to:
  • reintroduce exhaust gas into the combustion cycle.
  • lower combustion temperatures.
  • reduce the formation of oxides or nitrogen (NOX).
The amount of exhaust gas reintroduced and the timing of the cycle varies by calibration. Timing and volume are controlled by the following:
  • engine rpm
  • engine vacuum
  • exhaust system back pressure
  • engine coolant temperature
  • air charge temperature
  • throttle position
The EGR valve (EGR valve) (9D475) is vacuum-actuated. The vacuum hose routing diagram is shown on the Vehicle Emission Control Information (VECI) decal. The EGR system is a differential pressure feedback EGR Sensor system. Differential pressure feedback EGR Sensor is a subsonic closed loop EGR system. The differential pressure feedback EGR system:
  • monitors EGR flow rate by the pressure drop across the metering orifice located in the EGR tube.
  • uses a differential pressure feedback EGR sensor as the feedback device.
  • uses the EGR valve only as a pressure regulator, rather than a flow metering device.
  • controlled pressure is varied by the valve movement using vacuum output of the EGR vacuum regulator solenoid (9J459).
  • allows for a more accurate assessment of EGR flow requirements.

Differential Pressure Feedback EGR Sensor Removal
  1. Disconnect engine control sensor wiring (12A581) from Differential Pressure Feedback EGR Sensor.
  1. Disconnect Differential Pressure Feedback EGR Sensor hoses from EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube (9D477).
  1. Remove retaining nuts or bolts (depending upon application) and EGR Differential Pressure Feedback transducer.
Installation
  1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
  1. Tighten retaining nuts or bolts (depending upon application) to 5-7 Nm (45-61 lb-in).

My check engine light came on and my was bogging and chugging at 2500 to 3000 RPM and now it would not start unless I left the key turned and cranked for 5-10 seconds. Error codes are P0522 Oil Pressure...


There is a new PCM flash for this condition, the Technical service bulletin reference # is 18-026-03. The update will need to be done by a dealer. I would recommend this before replacing any parts.

I have a Honda 2004 CRV - the repair ( OBD II) code is P2647 - what does that mean?


P2647 VTEC Oil Pressure Switch Circuit High Voltage - With Automatic Transmission Basicallly the sensor has gone bad or an oil passage has become blocked.

**. Locate the Variable Timing Electronic Control (VTEC) pressure switch on the end of the cylinder head. Honda has had problems with the VTEC oil pressure switch, there is an updated part number for the vehicle (37250-PNE-G01). On this vehicle the VTEC oil pressure switch can fail at any RPM.
2. The VTEC oil switch is normally closed, and grounds the reference voltage from the Engine Control Module (ECM) on the Blue/Black (BLU/BLK) wire. If the code sets at idle - 2500 RPM - and the Brown/Yellow wire has a good ground, then suspect a faulty VTEC oil pressure switch.
3. At approximately 2500-4000 RPM and when driving the vehicle, the VTEC system should turn on. To turn on the system, the ECM energizes the VTEC Solenoid valve and it allows oil pressure into the intake valve rocker arms, the oil pressure opens the VTEC oil pressure switch so the Engine Control Module (ECM) can verify that the VTEC did turn on correctly.
4. The code will set at idle to 2500 RPM if the reference voltage is not grounded. The code will set above 2500-4000 RPM if the VTEC oil switch does not open.
5. If the code sets at 2500-4000 RPM or higher, the problem can be a low oil level or pressure, or a malfunction in the VTEC assembly.

Insufficient Oil Pressure
Plugged Oil Screen
Insufficient Oil Volume
Malfunctioning VTEC Oil Pressure Switch
Defective VTEC Solenoid

Ford f450 6.4-high pressure fuel pump failure


I would like to clarify, and somewhat solve this issue. First of all the dealer is right about the regen. If the truck is going into regen and did not finish, then it will do the regen again and again and this excessive regen will cause fuel in the oil. Unfortunatly Ford did not add a parked Regen switch (too complicated for some users) so you will have to drive untill the regen light goes out. I know it's inconventant but that's part of the hassel you need to go through because Al Gore invented the internet and then warned us all about global warming. Anyway there are some other causes including porous cylander heads (this will show up in low mileage vehicles only), HP Fuel pumps, fuel sensors, injectors, lines, etc. etc. Since you both seem to have low mileage ask the Ford Dealer about the porous cyl heads and watch his face go blank. Is smoke comes out of his ears make sure his DPF isn't clogged and ask him if he needs to Regen. then tell him he has to run 30 mintues weither he likes it or not or he will get fuel in his oil. By the way you may also need to ask about an updated ECM reflash which could help this issue. Have a nice day.
