SOURCE: injector stays open when it should be shut. We have a 08 Volvo 780 D12 . We have replaced the Egrs, injectors, cups, egr temp sensor. They rebooted the ECM. I'm thinking the Injector Wiring Harness.

The injector ground circuit has to be shorted to ground, only two things cause this, the wire to the injector from the ECM is damaged and grounded or the ECM injector driver circuit is shorted out.

These code are specific to Volvo and you will probably need to contact a Volvo service department to have them explained.

2000 volvo s80 crank no start?

If it has fuel in the rail that doesn't mean the injectors are delivering it to the engine, that is called injector "pulse", this can be checked with a little neon light tool called a "NOID" injector tester, you plug it into the injector connector and crank the engine over, it will flash if the injector is working and ionjecting fuel. The tool is very cheap. The loss of power to the fuses is likely a defective igntion starter switch.

Tools needed and how to remove fuel injectors and glow plugs and install on 2000 ford f350 7.3 diesel

A set of metric sockets and a set of metric wrenches will do the job. You need to remove the valve covers to get to the injectors. There is one bolt per injector. You can use a screwdriver or pry bar to pry the injectors out of there holes. On the glow plugs remove the wire and remove the plugs with a socket, it may take a deep well socket to get them out. Be very carefull removing the glow plugs, you DO NOT want to break the heads off of them, this would be a whole nother problem you don't want to get into. If they are tight, then take your time and turn them out alittle then back in. use a lubricant if you have to. Go back and forth and they will come out. just take your time. If you are going to remove the injector cups in the head, then you will need a special tool to do this. But if you are just replacing injector seals I wouldn't recommend replacing the cups.

I need help removing the injectors

There is a special tool for removing the injectors that the dealerships have. However, you may be able to remove them by using a long pry bar. The injector will pop up when you get them loose. One special note. Sometimes the injector cup will come out with the injector. Try to remove the cup without damaging it. Get some injector cup o-rings and some red lock tight. Put the new o-rings on the cup and apply some grease to the o-rings. At the tip of the cup apply the lock tight. Push the cup into the injector hole and with a rubber hammer tap in down flush with the head. Replacing the injectors is a long and tedious job but take your time and remember where everything goes. Once you get everything back together, prime the fuel system until your arm gets tired and then prime it some more. Have someone crank the truck while you continue to prime the engine. Once the engine starts running, prime for about 30 seconds more and you should be good to go. I hope this has been helpful.
