Question about 2001 Chrysler Sebring

1 Answer

2001 Chrysler Sebring: No hot air/heat blowing, only cold air. HVAC circuit board/panel is very loose, sometimes falls out. I also have no working horn, and my windshield wiper fluid does not spray o

I have not tried anything as of right now. I don't know if I need to replace the heating element, or if it is a wiring issue with the control panel. When I start my car and let it warm up before driving, about 10 minutes, there is no warm/hot air blowing. My windshield is always cold and never defrosts. The control panel is VERY loose, if you touch it wrong, it can fall out. I also have no working horn and the windshield fluid won't spray. My husband said that could just be a fuse issue, but he has YET to take a look. So, I am tired of waiting on him to fix it. I'm no mechanic, but my dad is an electrical engineer and growing up, I helped him do work on the family cars. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Why do I only have heat when the car is driving

Are you saying the air does not blow when the car is parked, or it switches from hot to cold ?
If it switches from hot to cold, it could be low on coolant, or a blend door may be faulty.

2001 chrysler sebring convertable, Heater only produces hot air when engine is running above 3000 rpm's otherwise it will only blow cold air.

flush the cooling system or have it flushed. it is clogged or low on fluid. make sure they use an approved flush chemical to do this and bleed it properly with the heat on high. this should take care of it as long as there are no overheating issues or leaks. cheers

When you turn on the heat--hot air blows out for a few minutes than it blows out cold air. What could cause this????? 2002 chrylser sebring convertible.

low coolant level can cause this condition, when the engine is cold, check your coolant level. if it is full you may have a bad head gasket, have that checked by your favorite repair shop

2001 pt cruiser no heat

did you check the fluid level by removing the rad. cap? Radiator should be full to top. If Chryslers are low on coolant, the heater will not blow warm air.
