Hi electric problems on my rover 75 petrol. It has a communication problem and the socket needs to be unplugged and then reconnected and this should sort it out but can note locate it Any ideas? Thanks

if you mean the DLC socket it should be to the right of the drivers position low down under the dash. open the drivers door and crouch down looking under the dash - you will see a multi pin socket that is the diagnostic port.

How to replace rear turn signal bulb 99 park avenue

Replacing a front turn signal bulb is easy, as I just did my own. On the front driver's side, look at the wheel well splash panel and you'll see one plastic pin. Use a claw hammer and pull the pin out. Now just pull the plastic splash panel out of your way.

Look behind the front bumper and you'll see the light fixture. The top left wire and & bulb socket is right there. Give the socket a 1/4 turn to the left and you have access to replacing the bulb which is a 194, available at any parts store, 2 for $5.00.

Drivers side headlight bulb replacement

  1. Open the hood to the 1999 Dodge Stratus.

  2. Locate the two headlight lens assembly retaining screws at the top of each side of the assembly.
  3. Remove each screw with the ratchet and a suitable socket.
  4. Place the screwdriver behind the lens assembly to assist in prying out the guide pins that secure and align the headlight assembly. Hold the lens assembly from the outside edge (marker light/directional light section) first and pry from behind with the screwdriver to unseat the guide pins. Pry from the inside end of the lens assembly to unseat the other guide pin.
  5. Pull the lens assembly out far enough to reach behind it and disconnect the headlight bulb wire harness from the back of the bulb. Or simply remove the bulb by twisting the harness and retaining ring counterclockwise and remove it as an assembly.
  6. Turn the marker light/directional light socket and wire counterclockwise to remove it from the headlight lens assembly.
  7. Remove the assembly from the front of the Stratus.

How do you remove the tail light assembly to replace a bulb?

Inside the truck bed there are two bolts behind the tail light. You will need a 10mm socket to remove them. Remove them and the tail light assembly comes out and then twist the bulb connector and the then you can change the bulb.

Have replaced bulb on front back bulb is ok works some times some times not

several things, see if bulb is loose in socket, check connector, look at wires and see if insulation has rubbed through and is shorting,
if wire insulation is worn and can see wire tape it, if bulb is loose pry pins in just a little if socket is loose or dirty clean and apply little dielectric grease (from auto store). this should fix it

pin 2 blue, rear fog light
pin 3 white earth

pin 5 brown right side/tail light
pin 6 red brake lights
pin 7 black left side/tail light

Grey socket grey 7 core wiring

pin 2 blue, supplementary feed (ignition)
pin 3 white, earth
pin 4 green live feed (battery +)
pin 5 brown not connected
pin 6 red supplementary feed (ignition)
Pin 7 black earth

On the discovery there is a purpose made plug behind the panel on the drivers side rear, behind the rear lamp
i think the relay you have bought is for lamp failure you just need a normal 4 pin 30 amp relay.
Good luck Davelee
