Came across this problem before. Check in the back of the vehicle where your amplifier is. Make sure there isn't any moisture on it. The rear washer lines maybe leaking and shorting the amplifier out. If this isn't the problem you may need to have the P.C.M. recalibrated, especially if you've added any upgrades. Good luck.

Yes thier is several fuses. Depends on for what. 1 fuse is for the solenoids and 1 is for the reverse lamps. 1 is for PCM neutral safety switch

Took my q7 to a garage to have a drop down DVD fitted, now my radio channels keep dropping out its like the aerial is only half working and the signal is really weak. I have checked the obvious things like...

Are you sure they plugged the antenna back in to the radio head unit? You need to remove the radio, check the back, there is a thick black cable (not fiber optic) that plugs into the back. Be sure it's in securely.

Tachometer not working correctly - reads low

what engine, what transmission? ok ,no one ever knows....
gas, not diesel

tacho.read low, compared to what>? you have a hand held
optical tach? like me? or is this post just a post
saying why is my engine idling way below 800.
or why is my slushpump A/T stuck in 4th gear.?
ever scan the PCM? do so, or miss the boat (i promise)
lets say the tach reads, 2000 but my opto scan shows 3000.

the cluster brain gets tacho data , via a data buss (CAN) from the
PCM brain, so scan the PCM for errors
it can be 3 things.
1: bad tacho.
2: bad PCM , no way
3: bad comm buss. if you see scanned DTC errors for the comm buss fix that first.

Also the PCM , you connect any scan tool made to the 16pin DLC
and see live RPM, it its correct? and no comm errors?
then the I/P cluster brain is bad or gauge. (or scrambled)
id reset the cluster head power. the fsm covers this.
its the memory wire. to the head.
but resetting things can be dicey. if not done right.
The PCM will report all RPM errros.

the FSM is here. buggy it is...
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service

id check all fuses.
id scan it
if head lies. and PCM scan shows good.RPM
id then reset the head, the fuse are OID named, (hot all time)
do you have your glove box , operators guide.
in mine on page 400 is the fuse box. see that.?
mine has 2, m13 fuse is mine. ill look yours up. now
ok its fuse #17 (IOD) IOD means ign. off, draw (old school hot all time) F17 is 10amps.

do not pull fuses in a random way
or ever pull the battery cables.
or you might find bad happens, lost radio codes and other issues
even security system goes nuts.

Speaker

sounds like you my have a d2b fibre optic network problem or the head unit has gone down or the amp has gone u/s and blown all you speakers common prob..pick a speaker and test it with a ohm meter or a 1.5 v battery it should make a crackling sound if you connect a little battery across the terminals

How do we intall a aftermarket bluetooth

jaguar sell a kit which interfaces with the audio head unit not cheap but easy to fit and works with most phones the only snag is because it uses the d2b.fibre optic network the car has to go on jags diagnostic eqipment i.e ids or sdd to tel the head unit it as been fitted, its worth going down that road has i have seen many problems created by using cheaper aftermarket kits stopping the audio unit from working correctly etc.

The air contioner is not working on the passenger side of my 2006 porsche cayenne. Any ideas?

Either the passenger side controls are defective,or the actuators on that side. Bring it to a repair shop
removing the control head to test the switches and the actiators are tricky and a pain in the neck. (literately)

2004 saab linear radio lights up but no sound

Do any of the system sounds in your vehicle work - e.g warning gong, direction indicator noise - if they don't then there may be a problem with the amplifier (located under front seat on left hand side of vehicle). The whole system works on fibre optic communication between the head unit and the amp. This could be an expensive job if the amp has blown (it can be vulnerable to damp under the seat - what were SAAB thinking of when positioning it here ?

If the CD doesn't play either - does it eject and load OK though ? this could point to a fuse or relay failure rather than the amp. Check the relevant fuses/ relays in the car - refer to owner's manual for the relevant locations.
