My Nissan maxima has 5 wires on ignition switch. how do I hotwire them to make it crank?

5 wires? I can't remember what the fifth wire would be, but you have a power-in wire - white with black stripe. The blue wire is an accessory wire- don't need that. To crank the engine without starting it, you would touch the power wire (white/black) to the start wire-the yellow with black stripe. That would engage the starter.

If you want to wire it to run, you tie the white/black power wire to the run or ignition wire-this is a black wire with white stripe. With those together, your dash gauges and warning lights will be on-the ignition system is ON. Then if you touch the yellow/black (start wire) to the power wire that is tied with the ignition wire, the engine should crank over and start.

Where is the fuse for the cruise control

This is located on Passenger Compartment Fuse, under "ASC" tag label.

If this its OK, on the brake pedal shaft check with a test light to the pedal position sensor should be a green wire with white stripe make sure it has light on that wire and also on the green wire without the brakes pressed it should also light the test light if both are good there go check at the master cylinder switch the green wire with white stripe and also the green wire with yellow stripe both should light the test light.

Hope this helps.

Trying to replace a clutch safety start switch on a 2002 chevy s-10 5 speed trans.hubby was gonna try and bypass it but cant so need to know the wiring, its got 2 solid purple wires and 1 brown and white...

do not bypass it. the only wires on it that are of concern are the 2 purple wires. If you wire them together it will start without the clutch pedal depressed but that can be very dangerous.

Replacing front turn signal socket on 1990 dodge shadow

Okay. Hook black to black.
Green to green with white stripe.
Yellow to red with white stripe.
That should work. Nothing is going to blow up if it's wrong. It just won't work.

Note:
using an optional snap on wire harness adapter will simplify the wiring. Most snap on
wire harness adapters have already converted and color coded the wires from the auto
makers in dash wire harness to match typical aftermarket radio wire colors.
** The wire colors listed in the chart above are typical for these vehicles during these years
but may not be the exact colors for this vehicle. This is another reason to use a snap on
wire harness adapter. **
