Start by flushing your coolant system and replacing your thermostat. You may later find that you have a clogged heater core.

SOURCE: need instructions for replacing heater core on 2003 Chevy S-10

The heater core may be behind the dashboard, passenger side. If you have never taken one out before,it may be best to take the truck to a shop.

How hard is it to change a heater core for a 2003 chevy trailblazer ext lx with the 5.3l engine and rear air? I have changed the heater control valve 3 times over the life of the vehicle and it is now...

Thats every bit of a 10 hours job, and thats if you know what to do and you have all the tools.

It definetly sounds like you have a leak, but would not say right off its the heater core....the control or a hose could be leaking....I would check those first.

No heat in my 2002 chevy s-10. Already changed

The heat is controled by a control valve installed in one of the heater hoses. It normally is controled by eather a vaccuum line or a cable coming from inside the truck at the dash where you slide the hot to cold adjustment.Find the valve under the hood at the hose, have someone move the control inside the truck. If its vaccuum you can pull off the hose and see if you have vac.If its a cable you should se it move.
