Either the master cylinder needs bleed or the slaves and servos need bleed
or both

i think if the pedal is hard then the master is jammed up and needs either replaced or a rebuild seal kit

if its soft its the slaves and the master is jammed on preasure

if you release the bleed points and fluid squirts out
its already compressed
so it must be one of the compression cylinders jamed on with preasure still in the system

so...

The brake pedal is soft and at times brakes release but after braking they come back on and won't release. Now had it in a garage and it happened to them but next day it was fine. I drove 360km no problems then week later it happened again. Ive read to flush system with spirits and some window thing to pull out to clean and build up of pressure in some valve. Problem comes and goes but sounds as if brakes collapsing or rattling and begining to scrape

Check the little hydrulic hoses that connect the brake cylinders to the steel lines. Those hoses can collapse on the inside and hold pressure to the brakes all the time. Replace those hoses.

Squeeky noise from Range rover 2006 HSE

Likely, that is the sound of your "wear indicators" because your brake pads are worn.

I cannot get into my Range Rover HSE as the battery is out of power

You might be able to get under the car and connect jumper cables to the starter to charge the battery. Anything bigger than 12 gauge wire would do it.

My 1996 Range Rover HSE ABS light went on and the brake pedal goes to the floor. Brakes were working fine prior to this. Once you pump the brakes; they work

are you losing brake fluid? you may just need to bleed the brakes if you bleed them and have the same thing happening, you are going to need a master cylinder, but first check around at all four calipers and around the brake booster and master cyl, for wetness this means theres a leak.

Range Rover 4.6 HSE. 97' 1. What does HSE

The HSE designation refers to a Sport Edition 'Rover, not a higher-priced premium edition.
Changing fuel grades can harm an engine that doesn't have computer controlled valve timing.
Symptoms include a pronounced, fast "knock" (usually when you go from 93 to 87 octane) and using a fuel with a higher octane rating than the vehicle requires (example: 93 versus 87) sends unburned fuel into the emissions system and catalytic converter. This puts stress on the emissions system. For some vehicles, a rotten egg smell or a pop when the fuel burns off in the catalytic converter coming from the tailpipe signals use of higher than needed octane gas.

Range Rover 2006 brake fluid flushing (when?)

brake fluid should be changed every time you change the brake pad. Brake fluid is not the same as hydraulic fluid, which don't contain alcohol, which attract moisture and dirt.
with that say, I don't think too many people really change the brake fluid, not till the brake stop working.

Just had this same issue with my 57 plate Discovery SE - great guy from the AA took the small plate off that sits immediately to the rear of the hanbrake button in the central console - he then hooked a wire around the cable you see in there and gave it a mighty tug. The result is that my brake is now disengaged (rather than stuck-on as before) and LR will need to cure the source of the problem under warranty. Car is automatic so can use "park" until full repair.
