In 1998, it acquired BankAmerica Corporation of San Francisco in what was the largest bank merger in American history at the time. Although NationsBank was the nominal survivor, the merged bank took the better-known Bank of America name, and operates under Bank of America's charter. However, to this day it is headquartered in Charlotte at what is now Bank of America Corporate Center, and retains NCNB/NationsBank's pre-1998 stock price history. With this merger, all of NationsBank's holdings, including some of the tallest buildings in the nation (like Bank of America Plaza in Atlanta and the Bank of America Corporate Center) took Bank of America's name. McColl became president, chairman and CEO of the merged company. In 2001, he handed these posts to Ken Lewis, also from the NationsBank side of the merger; he began his career at NCNB in 1969. Lewis stepped down in 2009 and was replaced by Brian Moynihan--marking the first time that the bank hadn't been led by someone with roots in NCNB/NationsBank. What is inlet or exhaust in land rover discovery -2000

The intake valves(routed to the intake manifold/injectors/throttle body) usually have a tighter clearance specification than the exhaust valves(ruted to the exhaust manifolds/catalytic converters, etc). This is due to the exhaust valves running at a higher tempurature than the intake valves. The only engine I have had long enough to require adjustment of the valves is my 77 Plymouth Volare'(it has a Slant Six 225 with mechanical lifters). My father put about 95,000 miles on it without adjusting the valves.(supposed to be done about every 20,000 miles). My Barracuda was getting to the point of weekly repair,so I decided it was time for a complete teardown and a nut and bolt restoration(after 18 years,I'm finally painting it!)The Volare was cosmetically rough, but just needed some tune up stuff to get it running for daily use.I rebuilt the carb, and used the 5 gas analylizer in the shop to tune it to perfection(it took 4 hours to rebuild,I spent 5 hours adjusting it).It started and ran better, but I knew there was room for improvement. My next task on the list was to adjust the valves, mostly becuase of the noise(it sounded like an old Teletype machine!).I set the clearance at .010" on the intake, and .020" exhaust per the factory manual(my father was smart to buy the mechanical AND electrical manuals as part of the new car purchase deal!)The valve adjustment made such a positive difference that I had to adjust the carb again. The first trip after transferring the tags was to my parent's house. My father couldn't believe how quiet and smooth it ran! So,good for you for doing this maintainance.Engines require so little routine adjustment that it sometimes gets forgotten anymore.

Why is there no brake fluid to bleeder screws on maqstercylinder in a 1996 buick skylark

Because you don't need them?

Have you ever bleed a master cyl & then
walked it to a car?

That is one real mess

Once you start to bleed the brakes, the air moves
to each wheel,no need to ever bleed a master

If you were to bench bleed it,then the air would be back in there,
as you hooked up the 2 brake lines

Have to experience those things & have a very perceptive
view of how things work, kind of a gift your born with.

Hi there...there is a wrench emblm sign with 1800 in the odometer of my ML430 2001. Please be kind enough to advise whatis that and how can i fix it...thanks

You probably pressed the button at approx the 8 o'clock position just outside of the speedometer, which set off the wrench and 1800, which indicates when your next service is due (1800 miles). I believe if you hold down that same button, it will clear that display (but not erase the info). Do you have an owners manual? If not, I can provide you with a site for a free download which will have the above info and much more. Post a comment requesting the download info if you would like it.
