Remove the plugs , to see if any coolant is in the cylinders if ok its more than likely that a carbon build up on top of the piston is causing the fault.

Leaking head gasket allowed coolant into one or more cylinders. This is causing hydro-lock. Remove all spark plugs and crank to see if coolant comes out. If it does, then clear it out, reinstall spark plugs, use Blue Devil sealant in cooling system. Start and run per instructions by Blue Devil.

I have a 150 wildfire 2008. ITs been running fine. I tried to crank it yesterday and it wouldn't. Everything is normal on it; except when I checked the oil. It was full of gas.what does that mean?

unless someone poured gas instead of oil in crank case than possible internal damage such as cracked cylinder wall-- hole/ damaged piston --head cracked or damaged remove spark plug and turn over [if it turns over] engine feel pressure or use a compression tester can borrow one most auto stores do- if weak or none than engine needs to be torn down for repair

My truck is shaking while im pressing on the gas

It sounds like you are describing a misfire. What have you looked at so far? Please write back with as much details as possible. Even the small details are important. What are you working on (year, make, model, and engine size to start)? What have you tested, seen noticed, or repaired so far? Depending on the vehicle you may have an EGR failure, clogged fuel or air filter, piston ring or valve failure, vacuum leak, fuel pressure issue, timing, Cam or crank sensor issue, bad gas, or an ignition failure (spark-plugs, wires, or a coil).

Retract rear caliper piston

Try opening the brake bleeder. Some foreign models have a screw in the rear of the caliper that retracts the piston.

Piston is contacting r/h top intake valve slightly on my bmw r1100 gs . how can i adjust this

The piston travel up and down is not adjustable.
The valve travel up and down is not adjustable without MAJOR engine work.
Best solution is a "thicker" head gasket.
If that is not an option, I\'d look at the piston after you remove the cylinder head.
You should see with your naked eye where the piston is hitting the valve.
If it is "just barely" touching, I\'d try a strong vacuum cleaner and a high speed grinding wheel to take the smallest possible aluminum off that spot on the piston where it is touching.
The vacuum is to keep and and all shavings from staying in the combustion chamber.
I don\'t envy you this problem.
Be blessed.

Cylinder 3 misses and has carbon biuld up on plug also looks to have oil on the plug, smell like oil is burning , smokes alot out of tail pipe, oil consumtion is a qt, per 300 miles and it looks like oil is...

Geez!

U got a bad piston rings! U have to pull down the PiSTON to replace the PiSTON RiNGS, oil is getting in ur combustion!

Or

Check also the valve guide oil seal, hope that is the faulty one! 'Cause replacing PiSTON RiNGS will cost a LOT!

Check on that first, Oil in ur air filter means a BLOW BACK gas from ur combustion is pushing the oil into the air filter!

BLOW BACK is a residual combustion air that should have been burned or gone thru the exhaust, but w/ poor seal of ur piston ring, it goes into ur CRANK CASE and into ur EGR system w/ excess oil!

Hope that explains everything!

I put a 91 engine in to 88 body every thing fit but my engine wont start

Only three possiblities. no gas, no spark, or the timing of the 2. So first follow the full lines and disconnect and turn on the ignition. That will start the full pump. you should see gas flow. Next remove a plug wire and dont hold it but place it near a plug or anything metal on the engine. You should see a spark when cranking the car. Finally its the timming of the two. remove spark plug from number 1 cylinder, with a wrench turn the crank shaft around untill the cylinder comes to top dead center. Look through the spark plug hole you should see the piston top. Now take off the distrbuter cap and look to see which terminal the rotor is touching. follow the wire and make sure it is the same wire that goes to the number 1 cylinder. Of course if the distributor rotor isnt rotating then of course your timing belt is broke. Good Luck.

ok.....as far as the oil on them it is possible it is only the spark plug tube seals located on the inside of the valve cover,in fact if you can remember when you took the old plug wires off the boots of a couple propably had oil on them.now as far as the real problem I would recommend checking the timing belt it is possible it jumped time, its pretty simple just remove the valve cover(gonna replace the seals anyways)and top timing cover.roll the engine around and look for the cam and crank marks.if you need anymore suggestions or help let me know have a good day DB
