Check all fuses if you can't read the labels in the fuse box, but also check the blinkerstats--(Flasher units) one for turns, one for emergency 4 ways. You haven't by chance changed the turn bulbs to LEDs? If so, you must also change the flashers to different type used only for LEDs.

You should find a fuse that is labeled "multi-purpose" switch or similar. That would be the fuse. You might want to play with the hazard flashers switch a bit by pressing it on and off a bunch of times. Occasionally some debris gets in there and knocks everything out. Could be a loose connector on the multi-function switch. You'll have to remove the cowling to see it.

Good luck.

David I would check your brake switch. If you have volt meter you should get voltage on one side then push brake now should get voltage on both sides.

Where is the flasher on ford explorer sport 2003

The flasher relay is on the top side of the fuse panel which is

located under the dash on the driver's side. The owner's manual

suggests seeing the dealer for servicing of the relay box because the

fuse panel has to be moved to gain access.

Turning flasher dont work

You may want to expand and describe what you have looked at so far if anything, fuses, bulbs. It may very well be a blown fuse or the emergency flasher fuse needs replaced. If not, it may require replacing the turn signal indicator ring.

NOTE: This should only be done at a shop, since the airbag could be deployed accidently and cause injury. This job requires removing the steering wheel in order to replace the ring.

So go verify the fuses are good, and especially the Big Silver round one, That is the Emergency flasher fuse. Check your bulbs and connections. If not, then you know what your looking at. Depending on where in the country you are (or what country), as well as your vehicle, but this typically runs between 70 and 100 to replace that ring.

Good Luck and Happy Motoring

My turn signals and emergency flashers work some time where is the turn signal flasher relay located and how do you detach it?

For 1998 Ford Truck Explorer 4WD 4.0L EFI SOHC 6cyl the Flasher is located in front seating area, driver side, behind dash, mounted on steering column.

Both the turn signal flasher and the hazard warning flasher are mounted on the fuse panel on the truck. To gain access to the fuse panel, remove the cover from the lower edge of the instrument panel below the steering column. First remove the two fasteners from the lower edge of the cover. Then pull the cover downward until the spring clips disengage from the instrument panel.

The turn signal flasher unit is mounted on the front of the fuse panel, and the hazard warning flasher is mounted on the rear of the fuse panel.

Hope helps.

I have no blinkers or flashers lights work I do not have manual to know where/ which fuse or flasher module to check

Flasher is about 1.5 inches in diameter and about 1.5 inches high. It is located under the dash, on the drivers side. Turn on emergency flasher switch and listen for the clicking.... that will bring you to the flasher... it may be burned out and need replacing.

Sounds like the flasher unit to me. Normally the emergency flasher and turn signal are separate.
