I have a weird problem with the right turn signal on my 2004 Buick LeSabre! Some times it works and other times it does not work. A week or so ago, it started doing this and it has steadily gotten worse. Now it will work once in a while if I can hold the lever in a certain spot. Lights and flasher are all good and all the turn signal lights flash if I put the emergency switch on. Left turn signal works fine. Hoping this isn't something that means steering wheel needs removed to fix! Any help would surly be appreciated.
Your worst fears are my guess. The multifunction switch has a problem and needs attention. Might not be the switch assembly, could be just a wire or the body control module. It sounds like you can easily reproduce the symptom, so a competent tech should be able to narrow down the cause quickly. A decent mechanic could fix it in an hour or two. 
Thanks Jeff! Guess I'll have to do some searching. Went on JC Whitney chat and they wanted to sell me the whole turning signal lever with the switch inside it. Wrong switch for $295.

Thought I'd better add, thjs is both front and back turn signals on right side and when they don't work, light on dash does not light either. Dash light works with left signal and flashers.
