Looks like the alternator wiring is wired wrong. Check the wires to the battery.
Better yet, go to www.youtube.com and search for "Alternator wiring to battery"
That will show how to check it out,
Hope this helps.

You have a loose wire or cable, or have blown a fuse or fusible link somewhere. Check battery terminals, connections to the alternator, negative terminal to engine, engine to body, battery to body. A voltmeter is essential for speed and accuracy. A mechanic can sort this out in no time flat. 1986 Honda Accord, no power - 25316044-dz1fkxf1fwolart5ai0divhk-4-0.jpg

Where is the switch for back wiper on 86 accord hatchback?

It is on the multifunction switch, there are two different switches, one is w/rear wiper and one is wo/rear wiper. If you can't see the switch or it looks different from the one in the picture maybe the car had the switch replaced with the wrong one. . See the switches at the link below.

You need a new alternator. The battery dies when the alternator no longer charges the battery when your car is running. Acts like a mini generator when the car is running....lights radio heat ect....

'86 honda accord battery light comes on when rpm's are lower than about 2.5

Your altinator may be going bad, If you have a multi meter ground it on the alt. caseing and push the hot lead into the red wire on the back side of the alt. , as the car is running, you should get a reading of 14.2 or better if its less, the alt. is bad. But if its 14.2 or better change the battery.
