Question about 2000 Chrysler 300M
Removed fuse I do not get engine check light
I would test the power wire in the rear check your ground wire is not broken and has good clean contact check your brake light switch is good check all of your fuses not just the one if all eslse fails run a jumper wire from the battery to the positive in the back if this works it means you have a bad wire some where and you can run a wire from the tail lamp in to the fuse panel and this will fix your problem

Sounds like a control module problem. If the symptom is regular a tech can diagnose and repair the problem quickly (translation: cheaper than buying unneeded parts). If you're a gambler, find a wiring diagram and a good junkyard. Bring a tool box and a voltmeter and start pulling parts. You can get a whole milk crate full of modules and parts for 20 bucks or so. Pick a day when it won't rain.

Check for faulty wires at the fuse block, had one fall off from the block itself from the rear, or it could be a wire break somewhere along the way.
Stop Lights and Blinkers are independant fuse.
Tail lights are on there own fuse and could be a wire break in the rear or removing the bulb and using a metre check for signal at bulb socket where trouble is, Check for disolored connections, Green in color or simular, could be a bad connection which in turn is not letting the curent to other side, Causing a short and loss of power to all remaining lights in curcuit.

SOURCE: resetting the computer
I would reset your computer. CEL will stay on unless you clear the codes or reset the computer. To reset the computer you will need to pull the negative cable off the battery for 20 Seconds, place it back on for 5 seconds then back off for 20 seconds then back on for good. Thanks for using fixya!
