SOURCE: no power at fuel pump
i just had this problem with my 93 dakota. my truck had a fuse in the same fuse block as the relays. i had to end up bypassing the relay with an inline fuse holder that i put a 20 amp fuse in i later found out that these trucks had a problem with the auto shutdown system that i was unable to figure out.

SOURCE: electric cooling fans will work.
The fans are actuated by coolant temp in the radiator. It is possible to have overheated coolant in the radiator, causing the steam, and your engine not overheating...the temp sensor for your engine is reflecting the engine temp, not the temp of the coolant in the radiator. You problem could be a bad temp sensor at the radiator...not allowing the fans to come on. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

ok first youll have to check to see if your getting fuel to the engine to do this you can do 1 of 2 things disconnect the fuel feed line to filters and crank the engine to see if you are getting fuel from the tank if not then you will more than likely need to change the injection pump or fuel pump you can also take the fuel filter off and see if fuel is in it . you may have to bleed your fuel line especially if you ran out of fuel. i dont suggest you do this too often but you can get a can of quick start and zap it into your intake and see if the engine fires and keeps running just dont spray to much about a 2-3 second shot is all thats needed if it does not keep running after the ether shot then you may have bad fuel pressure which again leads to your pump . hope this gives you a better place to start. let me know how it turns out .

You have 1 high beam relay and a lo beam relay located under the hood. You also have 4 fuses under the hood, 2 are for high beam 10 amp and 2 for the low beam 1 is a 20 amp and the other is a 15 amp fuse. Remove the top off the fuse/relay power distribution center and look inside the top. It will tell you the location for each fuse and relay. hope this will help you.
