Call On-Star ... they inadvertently downloaded an upgrade that does not agree with your vehicle. The agent will give you a code name to use and while she is on the line will walk you through the procedure to fix it. Take your cellphone to the car with you and call onstar from your cellphone. Sometimes when they do this You may not be able to initiate the call.

Craziest thing. I pulled the fuse out for the radio and onstar so I wouldn't have to jump it in the morning. The next day when I fired it up I replaced the same fuse so I could listen to the radio and now it shuts off along with the onstar when the keys off. Is it insane to think it fixed itself? Or does this vehicle have an electrical ghost?

2006 Yukon Denali XL the radio stays on as well as the battery symbol on the dash and the dash lights and the heated seats buttons also light up with the car off and locked keys out of ignition

Yes that's normal. it should go off as soon as you open the door though. if it doesn't then they will go off when timer expires (normally about 90 seconds) after you leave the car.

I need help with a battery drain on a 2002 GMC Yukon Denali XL

As odd as this sounds, I would take it to "Car Toys" and have them take a look at the stereo wiring.

Retained accessory power relay 1 in the left I/P fuse block may be defective, causing power to continue being applied to the radio even after a door is opened to cause shutdown.

Just changed radio on my 01 Yukon XL and now the speedometer doesn't work

Double check your wiring on the radio. The factory radio has a wire that comes from the vehicle speed sensor. When you speed up, the radio gets louder. When you slow down the radio gets quieter. That wire may go into the radio and then to the speedo depending on how the vehicle is wired. You may have to connect that wire to another (check wiring diagram). Another thought is that you accidentally hooked that wire up to something wrong and it blew a fuse. Good luck
