The previous two answers were going in the right direction but let me expand little. Convertible tops will leak a little around the rear. That water is channeled to the right and left where there is a drain near the wheelwell. You will nee to remove the interior side panels to see them. Remove and dirt and debris that you find and clear the drain. Do this by blowing air down through the dain, then testig it with some water. NEVER take the shortcut and blow air or push a wire up from the bottom. Many drains have a one way flap to keep bugs from entering the car through the drain. Clearing from the bottom can turn that flap the wrong way and plug the drain permanantly.
You should also check the weatherseals above the rear side windows and the wiper strips on the body at the bottom of those windows.
Another spot to check is around the rear window to see if that bond is leaking. It often does.

It could be rain water pooling on that side could be either the window rubber seal or trunk seal , run a hose in that area but do not hit directly so as to push the water into those places ,if you drill a drain hole from the bottom up with 1/4 in drill bit that water will not sit , that is my guess

Remove the door trim and seal of all openings on the inner door panel Door speakers should be in a water proof enclosure ( available from Jaycar or like places) Make sure that the drain holes at the bottom of the door -next to the door skin fold --is clear of mud and rust.

No harm will come from slightly overfilling the engine with oil. It doesn't cause leaks as most people THINK. The engine does not build up pressure inside because of the PCV system that draws crankcase vapors into the intake to be burned. You have another problem keeping your car from cranking. Possibly a bad starter, solenoid switch or even bad wiring.

It could be the heater core. Usually it leaks on the passenger side, but it could be running down to the driver side. With you stating it has overheating issues, that's why I think the heater core. If this is the case, usually the whole dash will have to come out.

This is very common to occur when these vehicles have water leaks.
There is an amplifier located underneath the passenger seat which has gotten wet and shorted out.

The amplifier will need to be replaced to restore audio.

The only thing i can think of is, its a vent tube of some sort, but i can't understand why it comes out from under fuel tank, unless it runs from top of tank around under tank and back up and it looks like its commimg from bottom of tank.

Have you by any chance jacked up the passenger side, or got vehicle on a hoist to make sure there isn't any plugs on the underside that may have fell out? They could be round or oval metal or rubber plugs, probably in that area.
