Please explain what you need , what are you trying to start , what is going on , are you getting gas or fuel to the injectors , that would be the number problem of no starts , is it cranking over and not starting this is what I ck first , fuel pressure at the rail , then spark , clogged air filter,

How to disconnect anti theft

It is hard to give a definite answer because I don't know which and how many wires were damaged...Anti theft can be a real HEADACHE.....You can begin by disconnecting battery cables..Use your VIN number for parts,Get new ignition with a programmed factory key from dealer only.....They probably blew certain fuses and or relays when this happened...Or maybe not..Install new ignition connect battery cables..,turn switch on just to check for bad fuses and relays...Disconnect battery again...replace any fuses blown...Connect battery again...( Each time you disconnect battery it resets the computer system and should clear anti theft codes..)..make sure all doors are unlocked by using door remote key fob....Now see if vehicle will crank..If all is done correctly it should start...However I don't know how much damage was done.....It may possibly be too much work to totally disengage anti theft....You could start with removing all fuses and relays related to anti theft but disconnect battery before...I DO NOT RECOMMEND trying to disable the theft system.....You may create more headaches that you want.......Begin by trying what I described just to be safe...!!....

Tip

My car starter motor does not turn over.

Hi.

If you do not have any power at all, and the dash is not turning on, then check the battery connections, and the connection from battery ground to the engine body.
Also ensure you have tested the battery. Read the voltage across the positive battery terminal and a ground connection on the engine body. It must be around 12.5V
If there is no problem in there , then the problem is the ignition cylinder. The ignition cylinder can be tested reading voltages at its contacts. This in case there is no power at all.

If instead the dash is turning on, but the starter motor does not turn over, then there may be more reasons for the fault.

To start, look for the starter fuse. This is a large fuse, probably a 30 Amps. Look also for a5 or 10 Amp fuse to the ECU/PCM (main car computer module. If any of this fuses has blown, it can cut power to the starter motor.

After testing the fuses, check the starter relay. This is usually located in the fusepanel under the hood, or under the dash. The relay must click when the key is turned. The relay can be tested in fullusing a Volt meter or an Ohm meter.
The starter relay can also be tested swapping it with a relay of the same kind.

Fuses and starter relay are the most common failure when the car dash comes on, but the car does not start.
If this test good, ensure that the anti theft system is not armed (starter should still turn over by the way).

If fuses and relay are good, read volts at starter motor, while machineis cranking. You will need to use Voltmeter on the contacts at theback of the starter motor solenoid. If there are 12 Volts at startermotor, but motor does not turn over, then starter motor or startersolenoid is faulty.

The starter solenoid can be tested using an Ohmmeter at its contact. Ifthe solenoid is bad, reading with multimeter set on impedance, it willhave no continuity (it will read infinite Ohms).

If there is no volt, or volt is much below 12 Volts, then the problemis either the ignition switch located in the steering column, or aproblem concerning wiring from ignition.

The ignition switch can be tested jumping its contact, reading Volts orOhms on its terminals. To access the switch it is necessary to takeapart the steering column.

Regards.

My car wont start even with a jump it click's a few time's while trying to start it then it does nothing it act's like the battery does when it's dead but i had it checked out and they say it's good what...

If you can borrow a draw test meter from a tool loaner Program, you can check the starter draw. A weak link is the starter Relay which can be jumped with battery cable jumpers.

By using the by-pass method, you are working around a potential problem with the anti-theft system. The anti-theft system reduces battery voltage to your starter to around 7 Volts so that the car can not be stolen.

If you find that the starter turns normally when bypassing the Relay, you may have either a bad starter Relay or the antitheft has activated. Take a Voltage reading on the main wire (between the Relay and starter) to see if it is at 12 Volts when cranking.. If voltage is at 12, then the starter is probably bad if it just clicks.

2004 Deville won't start

You'll either need to get it towed to a shop, or buy a used shop manual to get the testing procedures.
When you turn the key switch to start, there is a dash integral module, a starter relay, and the PCM in the circuit before power gets to the starter motor.
The anti-theft system is supposed to keep the engine from being cranked and started. So you get nothing when you turn the key if the security system is active. No click.

My 2005 Yukon denali won't start, I have replaced the fuses, relays, the starter, the ignition switch, battery, and removed the alternator and had it checked. The truck still will not start without me...

My guess would be the anti theft security system. When this system starts to fail, it turns off the starter from the ignition. The fact that you can hard start it proves this. Read this link for symptoms, info, pictures, and solutions to this problem. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Wouldn't start and I have checked battery, fuel filter, and fuses but it still wont start.

Might be the anti theft disabling your starter. Read up on this link. Read the symptoms part and see if you have the same symptoms. If so, it shows ways to fix this problem.

Hi, if there is an anti- theft system installed in your van, you mght have a faulty computer. I had the same problem and it was due to the anti - theft system. Ihad to replace the computer. If it is the anti- theft system, there would be a tiny red light continueously on in the instrument panel. I hope this helps.
