Check coolant level first if full try removing heater hoses and flush heater core with a garden hose both directions...only with a garden hose.....this vehicle may have an electric blend door motor..with engine running change from hot to cold...listen for any movement under dash...that will tell you if the blend door is working regardless or how it is controlled

Well, you probably need a heater core. I it is a 93. Find a friend to do it, and buy a manual for it. The car is probably not worth, what you would pay a shop to do it for. But check prices...

SOURCE: heater core replacement

OK, Ifound the problem with mine. Dont unplug your air dryer. I checked the 2 hoses coming out from the heater core and still one was hot and the other not hot. The top one comes from the radiator fill tank and the bottom one comes out of the core and goes around to the front and into the water pump. I disconnected both close to the core and could runwater through both directions so upon further examination, I disconnected the hose at the water pump and no water flow. The hose was plugged up with something. Once I cleared it with a hanger and reconnected it I had water flowing through the core and great heat. Hope this is your problem too as it is aneasy fix

1993 buick roadmaster will not blow hot air what do I need to check for how do I fix it

No hot air, sounds like the heater core is bad. the core is probably directly your dashboard, ya it's a big messy job to replace. Cost, probably somewhere around $500 or more,,,

We have a 2000 frod expedition. We started to expirience that the heater would work then blow cold air. we replaced the thermostate then the engine would overheat. right after starting it would blow hot...

Try bleeding the air out of the system again. This truck has the radiator cap located lower than the heater core & upper hose and easily traps air pockets in it. It also helps to park on a slight incline and have a helper bring the rpm's up while "burping" the system.

2001 tahoe front heater not working, rear heater blows warm air

I have the same problem with my 2001 Tahoe. The front blower is working, its blowing strong, but its cold air even with the temp setting as high as it can get. The rear blows hot air. The engine temp guage is at about 210ish which is close to being normal (220). I just replaced the thermostate a few months ago, I don't know if its bad again, or it I deluted the antifreeze too much and it frooze the heater core, or if the heater core just went bad. Any one know what the cause could be?
