Injector not working why put new injector new computer new fuel pump does it have injector relay 1987 celebrity

Check fuel pressure. Have you replaced the fuel filter on schedule? Verify that the fuel pump is getting power. Power goes through an in-line fuse, then the fuel pump relay or the oil pressure sensor. (The relay bypasses the oil pressure sensor while the engine starts, but fuel pump power goes through the sensor during normal run operation. If you lose oil pressure, the fuel pump is shut off to protect the engine.) On four-cylinder models, the fuse is in the fuse block (E PUMP 10)
The fuel injectors are connected to the ECM fuse on one side and straight to the engine computer on the other side. Check the connectors and wiring, especially at the injector.

Ealwhat powers the injecters and how they work how you check them

Without knowing the model car your working on I'll assume it's a standard Ford car fuel injection system. The injectors each have two wires going to them. All of the injectors are powered through a common wire. What make them work is the processor (computer). When the processor determines that it's time to open an injector, it grounds the wire coming from the injector. The processor uses a duty cycle to allow the injector to be on for a certain amount of time.

The processor determines when the injector should be turned on by using signal inputs from sensors. Oxygen sensors in the exhaust tell the processor if the air/fuel mixture is correct or whether it needs to add fuel or take away fuel. The fuel is pressurized by the fuel pump and typically measures 40-65 psi, depending on the vehicle. This high pressure fuel goes through the injestor and is atomized when it goes through the 3-4 small holes in the injector. The atomized fuel mixes with air and enters the combustion chamber to be compressed and burned to make power.

1996 chevy silverado 5.7 misfires on multiple cylinders have spark compression and gas

Misfires is associated to lean mixture, lets say if the spark plugs are not good, wires/coil on plugs cracked, vacume leak, resticted fuel filter, choked catlic converter.

I had a mechanic check my car and he said it might be the #5 injector that was missing (1998 chevy blazer)

The 98 chevy blazer has a one spider injector that runs to six poppit valves where the fuel is injected into the cylinders. It is possible that the poppit valve may become plugged. Before looking into this more I would verify that the spark plug or wire is not the cause of your cylinder #5 misfire.

CYLINDER 2 MISFIRE CAN BE CAUSED BY MANY THINGS LIKE FAULTY OR DIRTY FUEL INJECTOR.BAD SPARK PLUG OR WIRE.BAD COIL.INTAKE LEAK TO THAT CYLINDER OR.LOW COMPRESSION DUE TO WORN VALVES AND RINGS.YOU CAN DO A COMPRESSION TEST IF PLUG - WIRE -COIL - INJECTOR GOOD.

Car off rd for 1yr. when i picked car up drove it ran rough on like 6 out of 8 cyl 1990 cad deville, mech. checked every thing said posibly fuel injectors at cyl 2and 4, car runs rough, miss or stalls new...

did you use the gas that was in the tank? when gas sits for that long the oil and water separate. this is the most common reason that cars run like **** after sitting for so long. you may want to siphon the old gas out and put new in.
