Will the dash from a 1997 dogde ram 1500 4x4 fit a 2000 dogde ram 1500 4x4 sport?

Highly unlikely. Car/truck manufacturers don't apply the old VW beetle philosophy that reuse is cheaper; they redesign every year. Even if it would FIT, the wiring harness is bound to be significantly different between the two model years so most things would not connect up correctly.

Will 1997 dogde ram 1/2 ton 4x4 parts interchange with a 2000 dogde ram 1/2 ton 4x4

Yes, they will interchange, although you might run into different brake calipers, and different gear ratios. 2000 models have stiffer springs, and double piston brake calipers, but you could use your old springs to retain your old ride height, Im sure with your old parts, and newer parts, you shouldn't have any problems mix and matching what you need. Everything will bolt right up, even if you have to use your old calipers on the newer fron axle or vice versa. Im 98% sure you won't have any problems swapping in 2000 year parts to your 1997 year truck.

Average cost for replacing rear brakes on 2000 Bravada

labor rates and pricing vary greatly town to town state to state. You best option would be to call around your local area to see what the going rate is for a standard rear brake service and a couple of rotors.

Typically the rear caliper slides freeze and the calipers need to be replaced.

You can expect from $200 to $800 dollars depending on what you actually need.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll be happy to help. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Need to replace brakes on 2000 GMC Safari. does it have disc brakes all around or drum rakse in rear?

Disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the rear. Make sure that you repack the front bearing's with wheel grease before finishing the job.If the front rotors and or the rear drums have a rough brake pad surface, get them resurfaced before installing new brake pads or brake shoes in the rear. you can go online or your public library for complete instructions on how to replace the brakes on that vehicle.

My back brakes were rubbing. then i slammed on the brakes because a car jumped in front of me and they went out all of my brake fluid is in the driveway please help

If this car had rear drum brakes I would say that they wore down enough that when you punched the brakes , a brake cylinder piston poped right out.
Would not be too hard to fix.
I would assume that a 2000 jag would have disc brakes all around , which would make me think that you have ruptured on of your brake lines.

I have worked on many differnt trucks and cars but I m stump on how to get the rear brake drums off this 2000 Dogde Caravan. They must be rusted to together. Or is there a new tech for removing drums?Any...

Forgive me as I cover some bases. I don't know this vehicle. Some front wheel drive cars have wheel bearings on the back like RWD cars had on the front. Older Hondas did this. Dust cap, nut, cotter pin bearing, ect. If not and it looks like it should just come off like always then try a hand held propane torch and heat the fase of the drum and the drum to expand the hole in the center. Move the torch around. If you hear a pop the drum will come right off. They usually go back on fine. The wheel takes care of that. This has always been around, sometimes, older Ford pickups, always it seems.

check to make sure there are no clips on the wheel studs that are holding it on.... other then that tap the disc with a hammer in a circular pattern on the inside of the rotor... don't damage the threads on the bolts while you do that
