Only licensed mechanics should touch your ABS system. Take it into a repair shop Please.

Town and country 2001 while driving on the freeway my abs light turn on

Okey

You have never had any type of check light
on the dash of any vehicle before?

ABS --- is the electrical part of your braking
system. No different than any other dash light

Still an OBD2 System Malfunction, that has to
be diagnosed & repaired

You gave us no codes & even then, there could
be several possible causes for the light coming on

A Wheel Speed Sensor is a fairly common item
that fails

Do I need the sensor rotor if abs is disconnected

if the abs is disconnected, it can be one of the speed sensors which consists of one per wheel, or the abs computer which is usually around the trunk area of the car, depending on the model. can you specify which model it is? it might also bew something as simple as an abs fuse located in the engine compartment. but if you want to repair your abs because you are concerned about safety, you shouldnt be alarmed because your standard brake system is still intact. if you want to repair your abs because you want to be safer, the best thing to do is recover the code to know what is malfunctioning/disconnected. if your car is 97 or older, than it is most likely obd1, which honda has convinientely placed a computer connection in the passangers side which requires a paper clip to read. if it is 98 or older, it should be obd2 which needs a scanner to read. please reply with the specific model and year number so i can help you to the best of my abilities. thank you, and goodluck

Volvo v70 abs light and mil light on. no coms with diagnostic socket, all fuses are ok. no 12v at diag socket, so no diag tools will work.

Are you plugging into the obd2 diagnostics port under the dash or the diagnostics port under the hood? You should be plugged in under the dash to read codes for the MIL / ABS light. Just a heads up as well most scanners you can buy from the part stores do not have the necessary program protocols to read European cars.
