It is in the air filter box. On the bottom of it. Why are you looking for it. Or replacing it?

Testimonial: "I was thinking that maybe my turn signal problem has something to do with it. Because when my front turn signals are not blinking and the back turn signals are blinking they will start working when I turn the ignition switch off then back on."

Check the ground wires by the head lights first. Best to loosen the bolt and tighten it back up. One on each side. If the problem persists, the replace the turn signal switch. The ECU has nothing to do with these. The switch and the BCM do. Let me know. Fuses are OK, because the rear lights work..

Also it is not a power problem. The side work on different circuits. But the same grounds.

I REVERSERVED THE CABLES on a jumpstart and now the check engine light is on and the engine will only rev to 1200rpm.

Run fault codes to reset the CPU but be prepared for a CPU replacement as reversing the leads when jump starting can cause a failure in the CPU.

Why won't my 2004 Jetta vw 2.0 start up after I

Jump starting a cpu controlled vehicle by the incorrect use of the cables will damage the cpu unit by the surge of current that is delivered to it. Have the cpu check out. It is not a matter of positive to positive and negative to negative as it was with older cars.

No. You cannot use an auto CPU on a manual transmission. The values are markedly different, and the auto cpu has the additional features that relate to the auto trans. I would not try it, you may damage your wiring harness.

Malfunctioning speedometer

The odometer circuit drive and the speedometer are controlled by the CPU built-in the gauge assembly. The CPU receives pulses from the PCM. The pulse rate increases as the car accelerates. The frequency and duration of these input pulses are measured by the CPU.
