Possible Short, bad/loose ground, switch, fuse(s) or corrosion in the power distribution module under the hood. Its basically a big fuse and relay box. These fails a lot on Chrysler dodge and jeep. Headlamps on, both brake lamps are on;hit brake, left brake lamp brightens, right lamp remains dim;headlamps off, hit brake, only left lamp lights. What could be the problem?

Your right brake light is not the same bulb as your rear running light that comes on with the headlights. Different bulbs. Your right brake light is simply burnt out or has worked its way out of the connection. Take it to Advance Auto Parts. They may even change it for you. Not a big problem.

Headlight switch on makes tail light dim

there must be a short circuit which powers tail lights and brake lights. probably you have a dual filament bulbs which have both brake and tail light together. check for bulb, socket/or bulb housing and harness of that light.

The brake lights do not want to work. i have changed the brake switch under the dash and the bulbs on the tail lights.still nothing. i also, changed fuses.

does the high mounted brake light work? the brake switch has 2 contacts one for the high mount (LT BLUE/BLACK) and one for the tail brake lights. The tail/brake light wire is LIGHT BLUE. the main connector between the brake light switch and the tail lights is C208 which is located behind the rear seat, left side. So if there is power coming out of the brake switch OK and no power at the tail lights, check that connector. Hope this helps.

Right brake light out; tail light works fine

most rear tail lights and turn/stop lights are the same dual filiment bulb. it is possible for your tail light to work and your brake light not to and still have a bad bulb. I would check the bulb first, your brake light works on the left yes? this would mean that the fuse is fine

Left side tail light and running lights out

i see this problem alot and there are many different reasons each time. sometimes its the actual tail light capsule and sometimes its the running light wiring to the bulb

Left Tail Light not coming on

Sounds like one of two possibilites, the light itself may be a double filiament meaning there is one bulb which does both tail light and brake. One of the filiaments in the bulb could be burned out, try changing the bulb. If not that, then the realy might be damaged which gives power to the tail light. It's a bit of a bigger problem to diagnose.
