How do i start a renault kangoo no spark coming to plug

I tried the fuel system ok tried the coil no spark coming to plug

Have you tried another plug? it could be a duff plug you are trying, if that is ok you may have a slight crack in the distributor head or it is shorting out, get some one to try to start the car at night time, find the darkest place possible, you look under the hood and if there is a short you will see the spark tracking. If this does not work you will need someone to run a meter over it to find the fault.

This is a common problem with these vehicles, most likely to be a faulty rotor sensor on the fuel pump but can sometimes occur due to dirty connectors within the relays and related wiring. The rotor fix isn't a major deal.

Coil warning light comes on, kangoo looses power, almost stops, then revs like mad, release clutch to resume driving looses power. can be ok for five minuets then it all starts again.


not sure to be honest ,its a renault remember so its impossible to read OBDII codes ,i would need to have a play to determine the exact cause of the problem ,i would suspect the coil/module first off but it depends on year and what system it is ,as what happens is the module starts playing up causing it to lose power then as its having neat petrol down it this causes the O2 sensor to read high and this in turn throws the light on ,If this is one of the older models with built in ignition module in the base of the coil then change this ,but if its a later model with the coil on each spark plug then i would advise you to take it to renault as it could then be the pedal sensor ,As we are well aware the newer renaults from 2005 use encrypted software that only the dealer can plug into via renault in france ,with return call back to computer IP and then operators fingerprint to open computer.Unlike our american cousins with their emmisions test were the OBDII has to be read to pass the test
