Gary,
Could be a sensor., not usually a very expensive fix. Visit an independent mechanic, NOT the dealer. You can look up reviews of mechanics, dentists, cafes, free on Yelp - online. Or just ask around: friends and neighbors.
Of course, it's wise to have a car inspected (cost about $100-$125) before you commit. But Mazda's are generally reliable, especially with such low mileage.
Good luck, Gary

Just got saab 900s 2.0 petrol non turbo on a 98 plate ,is the old motor with dizzy cap ,fuel gauge stuck on full and no temp gauge ,whers best place to start look

The fuel gage is most likely the fuel level sending unit inside the fuel tank, the temp could be wiring or the temp sending unit on the engine, try that first.

Why is my fuel gauge stuck on full even though there is only 50% of petrol in the petrol tank

Hi,it must be that the gauge or sender unit are faulty, check sender unit first.

Fuel and Temp Gauge go on and off intermitently

faulty wiring for the lights, and blinkers....

broken gears for the fuel and temp gauge...

just get rid of the damn car, get a Civic of the same year.

I was given a 323 once, unsiezed the rear brakes (the idiot left the thing parked with the e-brake on all winter), then sold it for beer money.

1989 mazda 626 turbo window washer pumps

well the pump for the washer solvent is probably fried (unless there is no solvent in the resovoir). and on the gas gauge the way that works is there is a little float handle that goes up and down with the gas. when you put gas in this little float floats on top of the gas and this is how your car knows how much gas you have it sounds like it is getting stuck and will probably need to be replaced
