Obvious fix: repair the blower switch assembly. It is buried in the dash. Seek help if you are not able to do it yourself.

My heater worked a little bit today when I had the thermostat changed but notice the fan wasn't working and that's why it did not heat the cabin. Now I notice the air compressor is coming on while the

well the ac compressor will come on if you have it in defrost mode,if heater is blowing cold ,after you just had thermostat replace ,you could possibly have air in system.now if your heater motor is not working which is called the blower motor under dash it could be the resistor that controls it also these rigs have been known for wire harness problems at heater control unit and the blower motor connector.good luck, mike

1996 Montero Heater Blower not working

I assume your heater setting is electric control, if so either your defrost and floor heat switch failed or wire problem. For the air not hot, check the heat control valve on the top of the hose it should be in front of the firewall. I don't know your car is using mechanic valve or electric control valve. Anyway check there first. Good luck.

2000 Monte Carlo blinkers work some time have to tap /hit dash board by hazard switch to make them work. Control switch on heater blower not working light out. I have to put the fuse in on passenger side...

For the blinkers you need to replace the hazard switch. This will take care of your problem. For the blower,if this is what you mean by heater won`t shut off.You need to replace the blower motor resistor. This will fix your blower not shutting off.The light for the knob you will have to remove the control panel and replace the bulb if it is replacable. Some of these models you have to replace the control panel to get the lights to work.I hope this helps Heidi and let me know if you need anymore help.Good luck.

2000 s type jaguar has no heat

Either your heator core is plugged or the control on your dash is bad. The control for hot and cold selection.Bring the car up to temperature and feel around for heat near the passenger side of the floor board under the dash. If you feel heat on the panels then the problem shouldnt be the heatercore it will be either the vaccume control switch or the computer control switch that makes the flap switch it from hot to cold. DONT RUN THE BLOWER WHEN YOU FEEL FOR HEAT. It will just keep the panel cold and you wont feel it. Put you ear down by the lower dash and switch it from hot to cold while listening. You should hear the flap switch sides from hot to cold. Good luck!
