SOURCE: dash board lights on w reg vauxhall vectra have gone out

Just open the fuse box and look for the blown one. If you look at the fuses, you will see a shiny bit in a small gap on the top of them. The one you are looking for will not have this shiny bit. First make sure the Dashboard Dimmer has not been turned all the way down. Your car may not have this as you don't mention the model.

Spanner showing on dash when engine running vauxhall vectra c

VECTRA CAR WITH SPANNER WARNING LIGHT This Vauxhall Vectra car with spanner warning light illuminates or flashes yellow. Light will illuminate for around 3 seconds when the ignition is switched on. If the fault light illuminates whilst the engine is running, this signifies a fault within the engine or gearbox electronics system. The system will switch to emergency mode where fuel consumption may increase and the vehicles drivability reduced. A Vauxhall workshop must be consulted. If the light flashes whilst the engine is running, this signifies a fault within the electronic immobiliser system and the engine will not be able to be restarted.

Hi, i have a 2007 vauxhall vectra. Change side light as dash said not working. Still not working after changing it? Any ideas please. Thx Naomi :-)

Bulbs not working can be for a number of reasons. It could be a bulb, a fuse or a wiring problem. Checking the fuse is easy to do.
Just changing the bulb may not resolve the problem (as in your case). Take the bulb that is not working and place it in another working bulb holder to see if the "so called" blown bulb actually is okay. If it doesn't light up then throw it away, don't put it down as you will get it mixed up with working ones (been there, done that). Take the "known to be working" bulb you removed from the working bulb holder and try that in the "blown bulb" holder. If that doesn't work replace it in the original working bulb holder and see if it still works. If it does then the "blown bulb" holder is the place to start looking. Clean up the contacts on this holder and try a bulb again. Still no luck, check the wiring at the back of the holder for broken connections. Most cars are now wired to light clusters that hold indicators, brake, side, reverse and fog lights. These are all on a circuit board (you will see what looks like silver strips from each bulb holder running to a connector that the wiring loom plugs into). If you have a meter, check to see if you have power to the faulty holder. Sometimes just wiggling the bulb or connector plug will make the bulb work, in which case it is a connection issue. If you can, try swapping over the left and right light clusters (just remove and plug in as they won't fit the car the wrong way round). If the "faulty" cluster works in the "working" side and the "working" has the same original problem in the "faulty" side, then it is the light cluster that has the problem and not the wiring from the connector back into the cars wiring loom.....big relief.
I always find electrical issues frustrating, so be methodical and eliminate any possible problem one at a time. Don't do lots of work and then check because if you can identify the single cause, should it reappear (and it most probably will in my experience) that is the first place to check again.
Good luck and hopefully that eliminates the need to call an expensive repairman.

Indicators not working

That is a common problem when one of the turn signals bulbs is out. check the light bulbs on the side that is not working or the side that the dashboard flashes quicker. replace the light bulb front or rear. take a good look at the light bulb filament inside. some times is not easy to detect some other time the light bulbs will be light black powder inside if they are bad. if the light bulb does not fix it also check for the fuses may always be fuse as well.
