With the car running the battery voltage should be around 13.8 to 14.5 volts. If it's a lot higher then the regulator in the alternator is not working properly. You can take the alternator out and have tested at an Auto Electric Rebuild shop usually for free, or some shops will test it in your car.

It is most probably the regulator that is built into the alternator. A simple test that is free can be preformed by your local Walmart with an auto shop. Same goes for any auto zone store.

Good luck

My Infiniti FX45 had been stored for 4 months after I received a jump yesterday to get it started. It started. Now, today it will not start. My battery is practically new. What could be the problem?

swing by your local auto parts store for a free load test on the battery, and charging system too

in my area, autozone and advance auto parts does this free service in the parking lot

they'll show you the voltage readings and let you know if your charging system is keeping the battery charged

or if you have a bad cell on that brand new battery (which you can exchange under warranty from the place you bought it from)

Why would both low beam headlights go out at the same 2009 ex35 infinity

NHTSA issued recall number 14V755 to address Low Beam headlights being extinguished. GM stated the problem is the headlight delay module (HDM) may not operate in the thermal environment of the underhood electrical center. GM has not issued a fix as yet. Here are four ways I know of to correct this.
1. Have a spare HDM and replace at the first flicker of trouble.
2. Install a heat shield to wick heat away from the electrical center.
3. Install a cooler (fail open) thermostat and run the ac constantly. The ac turns on an additional cooling fan.
4. Loosen the cover on the electrical center to allow air (and dirt) to circulate.

My amp for the radio is broken what amp can i used o where finden a new one

I searched for an FX. There was no FX35 listed, but there was an EX35. In any event, the Bose amplifier is available used (about 25 of them). Check and fill in the search fields. Then select Radio/CD. Then select the system part. It will list the phone numbers for the salvage yards that have them for sale with the prices. I hope that helps.
