I have a suzuki alto 1.1 2005 auto the heater in the car has stopped blowing out hot air only cold now.

welcome to USA< forum the country with ZERO ALTOS,
why ask us??????? (means no books , nor parts)
so go to GENERIC mode just for you.....

sure this is so easy,,,, (laws of physics and heat ex-changers 101)
so the blower works, but no heat
well that takes 2 of 3 things,
1: blows, ok check ok.
2: engine must get hot. ,(not stated, 180f or more is normal) is it.?
3: dampers on the HVAC box must work,

dampers are not easy check on newer cars. old was simple cables.

to fix this, go to your suzuki, and buy the service manual
read that HVAC chapter, on dampers if engine is hot. (normal)
its all there, I PROMISE YOU, but only in YOUR country

here is ours
just for fun,

2003 impala 3.8 liter is overheating. the heater blows cold but sometimes while driving will get hot air. the upper heater connector elbow is slightly cracked releasing pressure and spurting out a little...

This is a "pressurized" system, any leak will allow air to build into the upper area of the heater core. The solid pipe that carries the fluid around the front of the engine, to the core, has "bleeder" brass valvesateach end to letout the air pockets. But,as long as the system has a leak, even minor, the fluids will evaoporate & leak out, until you crack a head or short block. It MUST CARRY 16 Lbs Pressure. I have hadso many "no it all" family membersask me why there vehicles, are overheating loosing fluids. I recommend to change the Radiator cap immediately. They never do, then when the car is in my drive, blowing anti-freeze out the tail pipe, I even show them that the cap (many, many times) caused the 15 lbs pressure leak. The refuse to believe it. After my step-daughter had 2 blown heads in 3 years.........had a colling issue a month ago. Step 1, she changed the cap. NO FURTHER TROUBLE,..........hmmmm Sounds crazy, but, the have to be "pressurized.

Coolant leak in VW Golf mark 5 1.9 TDi auto DSG

There is, however, an air outlet into the driver's foot area. If the heater core is leaking, the air coming through the heater core will carry the droplets into the entire air ducting system. The driver's foot area may be the closest outlet. If it smells like coolant, you need to replace the heater core regardless of where in the cabin the coolant is coming out.

My 05 Suzuki Altos heater is blowing cold, The pipe going through the bulhead is hot, but the one coming back is not. Any ideas?

There is a valve on the inlet hose that is not fuctioning properly. You should be able to manually open the valve to get heat. The problem with the valve could be the valve itself, or the linkage that operates it. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

'89 Maxima car heater stops blowing warm/hot air

You will have an 'in' and an 'out' hose going to the heater core. Run engine until hot, these two pipe should be both quite hot, if the out pipe feels cooler than the in pipe then it would seem the core is blocked. You say you have no leaks so maybe it would be worth removing both heater pipes, fix one side up to the water main and gently pass water through it. Hopefully lots of Brown sludge should come out.
If both pipes feel hot then the core should be ok. This means it will be an air-distribution fault and maybe the flap is stuck that changes it from hot to cold air.

The heater only blows hot air sometimes

it sounds like a bad blend door motor.these are controlled electrically and not with a cable like older vehicles did.

Fully warmed up; blowing hot and cold; Suzuki XL-7

Its just a vent damper plate not operating, it's like a gate which controls the flow of air,,usually they are operated by vacuum, or cables.
Service center time, unless you are handy with your own repairs.
