Question about Renault Cars & Trucks

Bypass or disable a renault megane scenic immobiliser

Not much, checked most of the electrical connections secure. Its a pushbutton start while pressing clutch or brake pedal. I tried both of these and while car was in gear.

You can't bypass the immobiliser by just entering the code and only people that have the code is Renault/ dealer. You won't get either off them.

My Renault Megane Scenic S reg heater is not working

Most likely to be a faulty resistor block, which has 3 resistors and a thermal fuse controlling fan speeds 1,2 and 3, maximum speed 4 by-passes the resister block. It may also be poor electrical connections to the resistor block caused by overheating. Renault ask for approximately £350 to carry out repairs, a replacement resistor block will cost £50. If you decide to carry out the repairs yourself, be advised that if you are not competent to carry out such work you, could cause electrical damage or worse an electrical fire.

Our renault megane scenic which is 1998 keeps not starting sometimes it does and othertimes it just wont start for ages. we got aa out one time and they thought it might of been the key. its getting...

if the red light flashes on the dash its going to be an immobiliser fault, normally it is the key that is at fault, the keys are pricey about £80 plus programmimg, but you can manually override the immobiliser on the early scenics, just pop into your renault dealer and ask for your immobilser code, normally charge a tenner or so, and ask if someone can show you how to put it in.
