Model years are overlapping with current years. Its a manufacturing race for new models to be on the lots before the year. I would go off the emission sticker under hood for year of car as engines are set to the emission reductions for the listed year.

4 wheel drive will not disengage on 1987 suzuki

Date: 06/19/87ST-022 SUBJECT: TRANSFER CASE BIND-UP
Transfer case bind-up is a phenomenon that can occur if a 4WD vehicle is driven on dry pavement in 4WD. The vehicle begins to slow as if the brakes are being applied and the transfer case lever may bind. The condition is caused by the front and rear wheels turning at different speeds because of unequal tire pressures or turning. The transfer case inner gears and components absorb the unequal rate of wheel rotation and begin to bind until the vehicle and transfer case lever become immobile. To relieve this situation, place the transmission in neutral, and jack up each end of the vehicle, one at a time, and allow the wheels to spin freely. Be sure to chock the wheels that are not raised to secure the vehicle from rolling in either direction. It may be necessary to rock the wheels back and forth when they are raised to unload the bound mechanisms in the transfer case. This procedure will allow all driveline pressures to be relieved and the vehicle can now be operated normally.

I do not know about a sticker, as there is no State location. But it is a refusal for a Registration renewal.

How often do you need to change the oil? When we purchased it, the sticker said 5,000 miles. We got an oil change a couple months ago and the new sticker put on says 3,000 miles, the change oil soon...

the standard has always been 3000 miles,,,dont mess with these that claim more,,,carbon build up is the leading cause of faliure,,and the oil is the blood of your engine,,keep it changed,,put some injector cleaner in couple times a yr.,,water remover couple times in winter and you will get long service from your vehicle.

Does my roadmaster 1992 have a short block engine 350 motor?

The '92 Buick Roadmaster is equipped with a 5.7L TBI 8 cylinder engine.

The 5.7 is the 350 CID. When you inquire about a "short block" however, that is not what is in your car.

A short block means only a partial engine, incapable of running until other parts are added to to complete it.

Usually a short block consists of the basic block, crankshaft, rods, pistons, and rings. Some may come with oil pump, but I think most do not. If you buy a short block, you'll have to either transfer necessary parts (heads, intake and exhaust manifolds, oil pan, oil pump, water pump, etc....) from your current engine to the purchased engine, or purchase the needed parts from a supplier. Additionally, you'll have to purchase the necessary gaskets, seals, etc. to bolt these parts on to the "short block".

This isn't a huge task, but it may well be beyond the scope of the average DIY individual vehicle owner.

If you want to pursue this, you can purchase vehicle specific repair manuals from your local auto parts store.

Whatever you decide to do.....GOOD LUCK!

I need to replace the computer in my 99 z24 chevy cavalier how do i get part number

year, make, model and VIN are what you need (engine size) and any submodel information.

Will have to transfer the EPROM over to the new computer that you get either from the dealer or Autozone, maybe.

My 1995 Ford ranger with a small 6 lost its fan belt completely. I left it at a parking lot, and need to know what I need to replace it. I am now on vacation, and will need to purchase the needed parts and...

I'm going to assume you have the 3.0L V-6. You should only need about a 14-15 mm wrench ,box end it better, or ratchet. The longer the better, for leverage. I'm thinking 15mm, but better grab a cheap set with 13mm-17mm, just in case. Do you recall for sure if your diagram/sticker for belt routing is there under hood for reference to install new one?
ps. Ask parts guy to show you a new tensioner for your vehicle, then try wrenches on it, just to be sure. That way you may only have to buy one wrench.

I purchased a 1984 XJS. The battery went dead, so

any battery that sits has the potential to drain. when storing your vehicle, remove the negative terminal from the battery. this should aid in keeping the battery alive. excellent vehicle. enjoy driving it. by the way, make sure you get the proper battery for either the L6 or the V12 motor. it makes a world of difference in the long run.

1997 mercury cougar pulls to the left when braking. i put on new tires new brake new rotors, and new calipers. thank you, tim

this car needs the lower ball joints checked for excessive play, when pressing the brake pedal the excess play is transferred to the weakest point. the ball joint can be pressed out of the lower control arm or purchased new as a new control arm.
